  1. Weight has increased (expecting that this week)163-ish today ,was 167 yesterday lol -can't trust scales but i used a Walmart scale (well opened a fancy one and used it lol- don't judge me) to calculate my body fat which is 27.6% Anyone know what's a reliable ideal body fat calculator? Can seem to find one on the web that doesn't contradict another...

    SMH

My favorites have become: I'm _____ weeks out from surgery, doing EVERYTHING perfectly, it's not working & I'm _____ weeks post op and I'm tired of the meal plan/lifestyle changes I agreed to
  3. Motivation if/when the scale doesn't cooperate First time IFers , this still is good info for us too.
  4. In the event that you need back up plans, try checking out insurances policies through the Marketplace (AHA -Obamacare) seeing which cover WLS , are available to you, research them very well and switching to it during open enrollment. Also medical tourism. Safe Journey

    I don't understand!!!

Of course that's not practical, those are suggestions if you feel like you *need* to do something to see quicker/greater losses. (Those recommendations are from my team) You may have just been stalled, but now that you lost ozs things are moving again, just continue what you are doing (your plan) and try to understand that sometimes the process can be painfully slow. But you don't necessarily want quick, you want permanent.

    I don't understand!!!

I can't see the post with the meals. But try to first eliminate anything highly processed, too calorie dense & with more than 5g or sugar per serving or with added non naturally occurring sugar. These could be an early stalls/plateaus. But it is very early You may be carb sensitive. I am too. I stalled early out, I still stall quite often and usually for long periods so I often revise my pretty pure diet to suit my needs at the time.

    Food Before and After Photos

Salmon croquettes *Disclaimer: these are fried, so no way to estimate the real cal count but each one has ~15g of protein Fresh poached/pouch/canned salmon, 1 egg, 1/4 cup flaxmeal, 1/8 cup chia seeds, 1 cup chopped spinach, various seasoning, dash of soy sauce Mix, form patty, pan fry in 1/4" oil until browned on both sides
  16. Take a look at Dr. Weiner on YouTube and his thoughts on set points and long term eat after WLS. I found it very helpful. Also proper IF helps your body to become fat adapted. But it takes the stricter protocols and consistency. That's where I'm heading, after this feast of course lol

    slider foods

Also they can vary greatly person to person. For me it's usually anything too calorically dense, too smooth of a texture (protein bars, yogurt, etc) that doesn't spark the satisfied sensation. But by far my biggest sliders are nuts. I try to usually pair them with foods that don't have high calories or generally slide like kale (in a salad)

    Can we please talk smell!?!?!

Ok I totally understand I've been doing this for years because I don't use conventional deodorant I scrub my under arm area vigorously (but not painfully) with soap to get rid of any odors/bacteria build up from the day. It's the only way I could ever have transitioned to natural deodorant

    Can we please talk smell!?!?!

Dry (or wet) brushing in shower. I *scrub* areas that produce the most odors. Works for me. Unless you mean odor from your diet...
  20. I agree, suddenly people think I'm their type of because I look a certain way... men and women Sigh Guys yell from passing cars, are too forward, stare too long, Savages I think I legitimately was followed into the health food store a week ago by a woman trying to talk to me then she realized I wasn't interested in women It's different now, and not all sunshine and rainbows

When will the hair loss stop?

I do believe LLysine mitigated the rate & severity of my hairloss, but *generally* RNY hairloss is worse than VSG; genetics determines everything
