    Family eating your food!

I will suggest getting a few craft boxes with lids and labels. Send clear messages: mine vs yours , don't touch. Flip out the very first time someone does and that will set the tone. Sad it has to be that way...
  11. Great info, I agree with the less eating hours obviously And i think if you try you can still eat plenty of vegetables especially leafy greens and stay in ketosis, (although I suspect Im virtually never in ketogenesis anymore lol fruit...)
  12. Quick , describe it Lol
  13. I'm the annoying @$$ kid in the back seat saying "did you know..."

  16. Summerset (ALL VETS) I can't speak for everyone, but it's not that we don't believe you, its that we need the VETS. We need the bitter truths, the cautionary tales, the elder wisdom, the proof it can be done, failures and rises... With all the fake everything on the internet I was hoping this would be the one place no one was faking. The VET presence is sorely lacking, and understably so. The neophytes are hostile , confrontational know it all little buggers, myself included, and VETS are busy and owe us nothing in the end. But children still need parents

Am I Eating Too Much at 7 Weeks Out?

Sounds like you are making your foods slide. The sauce will have a very different effect on your system when combined with the protein than if you were eating drier protein sources alone. Try reducing the sauce amount or eliminating it completely to test how much dense protein you can eat by itself. Since you have no guide lines of your own I will share what my team provided, take whatever you want from it, toss what you don't need. Eating: Only eat within a 30 min window, 1/8-1/4 cup food (1- 6 months), 1/4-1/2 cup (6 months+) of dense protein first Vegetables: As tolerated Mechanics: Do not drink for 30 mins before it after meals, do not eat prior to 30 mins after drinking No straws No grazing, only defined meal times Water: Bare minimum of 64 oz of liquids primarily water Protein: 60-80 g daily (work up to this goal by 3 months out) Dense protein: 1oz by weight 1-6 months goals 4 oz by weight 6+ months goals Primarily through food, stop supplements as soon as possible Eat a variety of protein sources to prevent aversion Carbs: Vary depending on tolerance, but no rice bread or pasta for the first 6 months- only whole grain variety sparingly there after Sugar: Less than 5g of sugar per serving, avoid anything with more than 5 g added sugars in ingredients list Fats: Limit to health oils from food sources like cheese, nuts, olives, seeds and some oils as needed Vitamins: Daily multi w/ iron, calcium citrate, B vitamins, D vitamin Hope that helps Safe Journey!
  22. Patients are told to expect about 60% average... But people are often below and above average. Genetics, meds, health issues, mental issues, exercise, eating patterns, skilll if surgeon, rate of recovery, complications and even work stress can all play a part but YOU can manipulate your lifestyle to get more or less out of the surgery depending on how you work after. Maintenance is also a place where people regain weight and it's harder to take it off again, so that's an idea to stay vigilant about. I had a sleeveb and so far have lost 90ish lbs. My surgery weight was 238 (consultation 249 but the highest ever in the 270s), It's possible, but you better be ready to wooooork. Safe Journey!
