I find the underpinnings of sexual attraction interesting from an evolutionary/biological perspective. I’ve been approached by a ton of women sometimes 20 yrs my junior when I wear what my boyfriend calls my hippie witch clothes (basically a bustier/corset and long flowy skirt) I met my current partner after WLS so no issues there for me. But every year at least one old flame resurfaces to try their luck with me.

It’s possible whoever told you this meant short term as in the immediate preop and early post op period. Or meant you can supplement/augment protein needs with shakes in addition to food but your bariatric team will move you through food stages and require you eat actual foods.

Apparently I was also defiant. My Mum loves to remind me I refused to “eat those little trees” aka broccoli at 3 years old. I don’t remember this but I do remember having an irrational fear of eating baby corn at that age. 😆

No and no doctor would support this without extenuating medical circumstances. Even then it would be a nutritional/total meal replacement drink. On this site we don’t support dangerous behaviors.

I did not. However my boyfriend did and it has been the biggest struggle to convince him that he is free to stop when he wants. At one point he, early on, he tried to control my intake, I had to set a hard boundary. He even apologizes if he can't finish something. I honestly wish parents didn't do this to children because it's feels impossible to reverse. Sending virtual hugs to you and strength for the battle.

Food. A lot of listeria contamination warnings lately but maybe it has always been this way and I’m just noticing.
