Need breakfast ideas - what are you eating for bf?
GreenTealael replied to indacrucible's topic in Food and Nutrition
Spiralized or shredded carrots, wilted kale (that's for you @Walter.Sobchak) additional vegetables, broth and spices of choice. I try to keep the flavor very Eastern if not distinctly Japanese. Top with your fav dense protein. It's my version of bariatric (non pork) tonkostu ramen So easy. Enjoy.❤ -

Got it! Denser drier proteins will keep hunger at bay for longer, higher Carbs counts, especially refined simple carbs, tend to spark hunger in people when it didn't exist prior. Foods that are easy to eat and go down easier (often called sliders) whether healthy choices or not will leave you hungry sooner. When planning your meals keep that info in mind. Google and Pinterest are wonderful places for reference but bug your team for more information when you feel lost. Do you have a NUT? Ask for a few sample meal plans. Also this thread can give you a glimpse at how others are eating

When did you really start to see results?

I agree with the chorus, take photos! -
Try a pantry/kitchen purge. Really clean all the problematic foods out. Give them to neighbors and charity or just trash them. Start over again. For motivation considered joining our challenge

Jan. 10th update: Bean and green stew over Salmon (hidden) , protein bar, protein shake as coffee creamer. Rest of the day is hydration. That should be all of the food... Maybe a ryvita crispbread before bed.

Y'all make me want to cook!!!

Bc I'm brand new at this. My Doctor never gave me much in terms of how I should eat. I've basically relied on google and pinterest to tell me what to do. I mean why are you worried specifically? Anything going wrong? Any issues?

Unnecessary sleep study?
GreenTealael replied to shellyk018's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Double and triple check with your insurance and the bariatric program you are having surgery with that it's not necessary for surgery (get it in writing even) then say no thanks. Some programs will not proceed without it whether or not you have comorbidities. It's a prerequisite for surgery. It was for me. I had no comorbidities. Your level of obstruction predicts chances of issues with general anesthesia and sleep apnea can form at any time whether you had in the past or not. Safe Journey 🎈 -
Wow! That's exciting

When does it stop!
GreenTealael replied to Abbey M.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor didn’t prescribe pain medicine. Just Tylenol which honestly I’m fine with because pain meds make me super nauseous anyway. Honestly, eveneryone is different, you may take longer to get past the pain than others. Get well soon 🎈 -
