    Coffee?

This is tricky. I would say stick to the plan they came up with for you and/or question them thoroughly about it so yiu have a clear understanding why. You chose them and will be in partnership for a while. No one on here (despite best advice offered) will take your calls at 3am to tell you to go to the ER, request labs when you are just feeling off or test your acid levels in 3 yrs when GERD is suspected but its really just the fajitas... If they chose a year without caffeine, and you agreed to it, there must be a reason. Find out why directly from them. Good luck πŸ’œ

    Dating

No doubt dating can tricky, tiring, nuanced and stressful sometimes. One of my favorite affirmations is to Learn to rest instead of quit especially when the road is long and arduous.

So who is super defensive, private and protective of their post surgery persona lol ? βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹ Wouldn't think so, huh but in person it has not been confirmed by me that i had surgery although some may suspect... So its not often i get to have open conversations about me. So quite a few people said i don't eat much and i totally was unwilling to acknowledge their observations because frankly they were generally negative. But having observations come from a objective party was... different. A few things it made me consider was: 1. I don't eat much food by quantity (although in my mind i eat A LOT) 2. Maybe the WLS community obsesses like no other over food 3. I hate negative people (to the point where i throw away the baby with the bathwater- no bueno) 4. I like numbered instead of lettered lists 5. My perception about myself maybe totally skewed but in a vacuum who can know Does anyone else: A. Have an objective support system? B. Think they eat too much although there is no evidence? C. Randomly switch from numbered to lettered lists ? D. Shut down information coming from negative sources? E. Sometimes capitalize the letter "I" sometimes not?
  14. Enjoy your WLS journey ... It may not be as perilous as you think. And enjoy life too πŸ’œ

    Frustrated

My surgeon did not require the diet either. He is a veteran at this surgery. But I was also wanted to do the diet just in case, so I just had low sodium broth, sugar free tea, coffee, water on repeat for about 5 days prior to the mandated two days of clear liquids only . Good luck !

    Starting again

If you can visit your team to start. Especially the nutritionist if available. You want to know where you are (labs, etc) before you begin anything new and drastic. Then back to the start of eliminating processed foods and sugars, dense proteins first, vegetables next, fats and complex carbs sparingly to jump back into weightloss mode. For support try in person bariatric groups or online chats like this one. Here's a challenge for March to stay mindful about food choices and motivated about exercise and self appreciation. Hope that helps! You got this Mama πŸ’œ

    Disappointed

If the yogurt, banana and protein bars are all apart of your plan at your current stage then you should be fine. Run the types past your NUT if you arent certain Definitely watch out for hidden sugars, high sugar contents , sugars by other names and sauces. Those things add up fairly quickly. Good luck and hopefully things will turn around soon.
