Soooo 1.5yr follow up today. Apparently i have perfect labs. I challenged this as being nice and the PA said no, most perfect he's seen at the practice since joining π³ But Reflux is happening more frequently and even with water. So back on PPI i go with Carafete (sp?) For good measure before a follow up a d possible endo to check for damage. And... Dumping. No silver bullet fix but most nuclear fix is rny conversion to mitigate both (definitely reflux but *sometimes* dumping and sometimes not ...Don't want a conversion and they are not pushing for it. But they explained all the options fully especially if there is severe erosion. Hoping meds do the trick.π)

Same weight 14 days-7 weeks post-op
GreenTealael replied to gabybab's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You are likely stalled , on a Mini plateau or eating your maintenance caloric intake. It happens to a lot of us. Give it a few more days shake things up a bit like more water less carbs etc or just wait out. But diligently track your intake so you can see if anything makes or breaks it! Good luck π -

Unsupportive Caregiver
GreenTealael replied to betterlate2019's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry every one is unsupportive π. Now that you know it, this has become a hero's journey for you. And... you can do it. Alone. Some what because you have to but mostly because your are strong enough. Not as a comparison model (because thats super tacky and annoying π ) but I did absolutely everything alone as well except get to and from the hospital, they won't let you. I needed it that way. I needed to rely soley on myself and not fail because of the excuses that others failed me. I don't know if you are disabled and need a caretaker for other reasons, if so totally arrange for a Pro now... No hard feelings Mum. Good luck π -
A side effect of the weight I had.
GreenTealael replied to chuckwalsh's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like your outlook πand with all the partime, independent & subcontractor style jobs around now (Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Ubereats, Airbnb, etc.) You can totally test the waters slowly. Maybe even build your day around what's comfortable for you and your gym/health routine schedule without committing to something you are unsure of. CONGRATULATIONS so far and good luckπ -
Anyone lose an internal staple?
GreenTealael replied to Sweettoothless's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Someone correct me if im wrong but some type of imaging testing could confirm if more are loose. Maybe your primary could order it so its covered. If so , then perhaps contact the Bariatric doctor anyway and let them know. They may take care of it without charging you in a perfect world or bill it under something covered like exploratory surgery to remove foreign objects. *Try* ( I know its hard believe me) to not let insurance issues prevent to from seeking assistance or at least asking the questions necessary. But let's hope its a singular event. Totally possible. Good luck! π -

For those who can tolerate everything and no loss of appetite
GreenTealael replied to jasmineinmymind's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
At 4 months I *thought* I could eat anything because everything was going so easily. I was wrong. Your tolerance can change in an instant. At 2.5 months out you've already tested the waters so now you know they are deep and murky. But honestly Don't worry about everyone else. That's a recipe for unhappiness. Your journey is your own. You *may* likely be required to exercise restraint and control beyond the surgery. Your success *may* depend solely on strictly following the formula your surgeon laid out for you. Same for most of us in the losing phase: Protein, vegetable, hydration/water, log food, exercise & positive outlook. Good luck -

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

LOL M A S S A V E I really worked the unlimited salad bit. I only had maybe a 1.5 bread sticks. The four baskets... That was all for him. Hehehe. And we split the soup and entree of eggplant. So not crazy but i definitely didn't feel like I held back. And I guess Halo Top isn't exactly breaking anyone's diet π But maybe my body teally is trying to maintain around 155... I can TOTALLY live with that π -

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
GreenTealael replied to FluffyChix's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
So I'm 155 again... IDK whatever. I see now why maintenance is a hot mess. I literally was at Olive Garden having soup salad and bread sticks followed by Halo Top this weekend / week expecting to be up and stay up. Nope I came down. Oh and had dumping from watermelon in front of my new bf & scared the π© out of him. Watermelon is now on the no fly list. Honestly im going to really strip back my diet again anyway. -
