Ooooo very nice! When my children were young I used a large slow cooker almost daily. I would set up the meal in the morning before we left and return home to dinner being ready. It had the option for warming or auto off after the timer ran out (instead of keeping it in warm mode) That was very helpful if we were returning later than expected. It was wonderful. Now I have a tiny one that I’ve never used and probably never will 🤣. -

That’s too bad 😢 I can’t imagine it was more that 100 cals since it’s a sugar free ice cream. -
I mostly sew on an as needed basis so In the last year I made: my youngest daughter’s prom dress, 2 satin bias skirts, a wedding dress prototype (just to maintain my skills, no one is getting married 🤡), a month ago I bought a linen dress that was a perfect fit except I didn’t like the neck or arm hole placement so I altered those (I probably won’t even wear it this year) and just today I had to repair a hockey jersey. So not too much sewing 🤣

I didn’t know what they were either. I just assume everyone has more foodie knowledge than me and I’m just trying to play catch up 🤣 Oh and great tips! I always have trouble with substitute flours and sugars in baked goods. This winter I may return to baking again. Thanks -
Bias cut midi satin skirt I made almost a year ago, this is the first time I’m wearing it.

I went out for a late coffee/tea with BF and got a Tarta de Santiago. I really like the flavors and almond flour consistency. Now I want to learn how to make it with a sugar substitute because I can only have a few bites before I have to stop. -

It happened to me the in first year after my revision, but now after 5 yrs it’s more of an aversion because I completely avoid rich creamy sauces and soups. -

Marry Me Salmon. https://gypsyplate.com/marry-me-salmon/ This was a hit with the family and reminded me that sometimes cooking is an act of love (because it was a multi step meal and I just want to air-fry everything now) -
OMG! Have sooooo much fun. My BF plays them at some point during EVERY road trip 🤣

Considering Wegovy or Ozempic for weight loss post gastric
GreenTealael replied to greekgoddess2468's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a huge fan of these new meds because: they work and it’s moving the research of obesity forward instead of continuing to moralizing it. For our population, it’s not clear whether or not this a life long commitment because there are no current trials for this. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1155/2022/6820377 (section 2.9. Considering Wegovy or Ozempic for weight loss post gastric
GreenTealael replied to greekgoddess2468's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If only it was this simple! The exciting thing about the new anti obesity medication is the renewed efforts into researching the causes and solutions to obesity. We now know that some of these complex processes are beyond our control. -

What conversation to have with PCP?
GreenTealael replied to Alisa_S's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may want to let the PCP know that you have been dieting unsuccessfully for x amount of time and what you have unsuccessfully tried to manage your weight so they can note it in your chart in case that is a requirement needed to receive the referral/insurance approval. Good Luck! -
After 6 months I finally chose- basic questions
GreenTealael replied to Chlo0oeeee98713's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have to say Im happy you choose the VSG over ESG. Every time I see someone post about ESG, it’s always about insufficient weightloss. But to your question, All things being equal, I would go with the surgeon with the best supporting staff because they will be with you long term. They will see you more and help you more often than the surgeon who you may see twice pre op and once post op if your surgery is uncomplicated. Normally after all the required testing is done, your case will be submitted to your insurance for approval. Once approved they will schedule you for surgery. In the meantime you can double and triple check your coverage to make sure your policy does not have a bariatric surgery exclusion, that the hospital and surgeon you choose are in network, what your copay will be, etc. Bariatric surgery so routine now that they can usually predict an insurance outcome unless you skip/don’t fulfill a key step. Good luck! -

Is it a structured cargo skirt?

Would you believe it if I told you it’s a beach cover up! I don’t buy clothes often because I have plenty and my size is basically the same as 6+ yrs ago but as soon I saw it I knew I loved it.
