Like weight loss before and after photos but of your new diet ! I'm especially interested in before and after meal photos (take a pic at the point you feel restriction) but it can be of recipe substitutions, your refrigerator/pantry/shopping cart/etc VSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW 167

I think I used the wrong sweetener and it was a bit too dry which is hilarious because keto recipes usually love butter and this one doesn’t require any. -
Are you preparing for an event like bikini contest, marathon etc?

I have no clue what material it’s made out of because I removed the tag when altering it a year ago. I’m going to assume it’s polyester/poly urethane but it is very soft and doesn’t feel like plastic at all.

Guess who decided to cook and it was a total fail 🤣 Tarta De Santiago (keto version) 4 eggs 2⁄3 cup (5 oz.) erythritol lemon zest or flavor 2 cups almond flour 2 tbsp powdered erythritol for decorating Either I’m just not used to erythritol anymore or i just never liked it. Next time I will try a different sweetener. -
An interesting article about “Fat Memory” https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-03614-9 Key points: •Fat cells have a ‘memory’ of obesity hinting at why it’s hard to keep weight off. •Long-lasting changes to the cells’ epigenome are linked to a decline in their function. •For fat cells, the shift in gene activity seems to render them incapable of their normal function. •Even weight-loss surgery did not budge that pattern. •The research is ongoing as “It’s not yet a causal link, It’s correlation. … We’re working on this.”

Almost 7 weeks post op and already failed
GreenTealael replied to NeonRaven8919's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You have NOT failed. Please stop catastrophizing. You are only 7 weeks post op. Super duper early. There are literally more options now than ever before to aid you on this journey. Tell your team you are struggling and need help. It’s very likely you need more than just the sleeve and white knuckled willpower but what that looks like is ultimately up to you. You’ve come this far already, so you know you’re committed enough to make lifestyle changes. Please keep going. ❤️ -

I am also team Mary Berry 🤣 but ultimately I gave up on TGBBO because I found everyone very very whiny. Now if you watch American cooking shows, I find Ree Drummond (The pioneer woman) annoying. -
Here is some info: https://www.uclahealth.org/news/article/semaglutide-weight-loss-what-you-need-know#:~:text=After 68 weeks%2C half of,nearly a third lost 20%. https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJMoa2032183 https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-024-02996-7 You should know rather quickly (a month or so) if it’s working for you. Speak with your specialist about all of your concerns.

All good questions for the specialist (Endocrinologist?) But this is a long term med and you should plan accordingly!

Eggs in a basket! I made these for my BF but I may eat the same thing later. What do you call this dish (eggs cooked in a hole in bread)? -

Hi Hunnybunny @Starwarsandcupcakes how are you doing? -
Well that’s unfortunate.😔

Honestly I’m more worried about the female gaze. What are you planning now that you believe I am the competition? Anyone noticed a shift in the females they interact with now vs then? Bonus: link to a (long form) video that analyzes body fat and perceived attractiveness

Today is my 7 year surgiversary 🎉 I can’t believe it’s been that long but my lifestyle does have a lived in feel to it. My weight is stable-ish with a current BMI of ~25. I have no problem finding safe things to eat while out but this year I cooked the major of my meals. That means I accidentally began meal prepping because of cooking foods only I seem to want to eat twice in a row. I’m ok with this as I actually like eating the same things, ad nauseum 🤣. I drink hot tea every morning and most nights. I have fully returned to carbonated water, kombucha and pre/probiotic drinks. Some highlights of this year includes sending my last child off to college, my first colonoscopy, started reading spicy books (thanks ACOTAR) and a few bucket list trips (The Space Coast to visit Kennedy Space center, Grand Canyon and the New Mexico hot air balloon festival). I’m still very satisfied with the outcome of WLS and all of the new advancements in obesity medicine.
