chewable multi vitamin advice
iggy replied to Dee66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I could not stand the taste of the Bariatric Advantage vitamins. I was silly and signed up for the auto delivery option before even trying it. Well it took months of telling them I wanted to cancel before they actually canceled the autoship. I suggest the Bariceutrical liquid vitamins and protein. They taste great and are individually packaged so its easy to keep up with. Good luck everyone! -
Did anyone else get an ON-Q (pain) bag?)
iggy replied to BritneeRae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I did not have the pain ball. I see them alot at work, I am an OB/GYN RN. But I have never seen it used for lap sites. As others said, the shoulder pain is gas pain, it should go away with walking and time. Taking the catheter out is very easy. I am sure they went over it with you, it wont take but a second Good luck!! -
Way to go!!!!!!!! You rock :-)

Dr Alvarez In Piedras Negras ( 2 hours from San Antonio, Tx) Dr. Guillermo Alvarez: Gastric Sleeve (VSG) & Lap-Band® $7,500 . It was $6,999. I had to pay extra $500 for my high BMI. May 15 2008. He is a wonderful Doctor. I would totally do it again. I am doing my fills with him. Good Luck -
Question for CNA's/RN's
iggy replied to AppleBottom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I am an RN on an OB/GYN floor. I was banded on 5/15 and I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow but It hurts too much to turn and bend so I am about to call and let them know I need more time. Maybe two more days. Go for 2 weeks if you can. Good luck. :blushing: -
Hi, I just got banded yesterday May 15 by Dr Alvarez and Dr Rosalez. They are both kind, professional doctors. The whole staff is very nice and dedicated to your comfort. My parents ended up going to the hospital and when Dr Alvarez found out, he had me put in larger room and went to talk them before my surgery. I am a Registered Nurse and was recommended by another nurse, who had the band placed a while back. My mom , also an RN was really impressed by the whole experience. When you get there, you go to his office and talk to the doctors and they answer all the questions you may have. Then you are taken to your room by a nurse, then to the lab and xray. Once back in the room the nurse starts an IV and the anesthesiologist comes to introduce himself, and then he gave me something that made me sleepy, Next thing I remember is being taken to the OR and Dr Alvarez asking me what music i want on, and then next thing I knew I was back in my room. The doctors came back and checked on me several times that day and the next. I really had a great experience. There is no real pain, just soreness. The hospital is old but not bad at all. Hope this helps you. Good luck :-) Adriana
