Does anyone almost a year out still battle with nausea on a daily basis? I do, and it is so frustrating and crippling at times. Looking for some insight from others. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Nausea 11 months out post op
losingheather replied to losingheather's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
The nausea is very unpredictable. I don't consume a lot of dairy, mainly yogurt and that is only once a day. I have only recently developed this issue. Previously, my nausea was not often. I still have zofran from surgery. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk -
I am 8 months out and just started using a 1oz cup and I shoot an ounce every single time I think to. It has helped tremendously. I also still drink my protein, I wouldn't get in enough otherwise. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

I am having bypass but my surgeon did tell me that if I chose the sleeve and my endoscopy showed severe reflux, bypass would be my only option. Hope that helps. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Horrid bad breath is a normal sign of ketosis. Body odor can be as well. Not sure about the metallic taste though. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Proof of weight loss attempts
losingheather replied to nh-vsgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This thread is music to my ears! I have HPHC and the one piece that has made me nervous has been the history of weight loss attempts. I have high blood pressure, PCOS, type 2 diabetes, and sleep apnea. I am a mess! I have been on weight watchers numerous times as well as on and off low carb. I will be finished up with my pre reqs mid August and hope to have surgery shortly after! Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk -
That is so good to hear. I have freeze pop sleeves and was thinking of prepping freeze pops with protein powder and sf jello and throwing them in the freezer!

Does anyone have Harvard Pilgrim insurance? The only prereq that I am concerned about is the documentation of previous attempts to lose weight which may include Weight Watchers, Atkins, etc. I have done Weight Watchers online, I have done low carb off and on for years without any real success. My dietician, at my first appointment, made no mention of any concern about this and the program director told me not to worry, that is what the dietician was for. To compose that letter. I should also mention that my insurance does not require a set amount of nut visits. So, of course I am concerned. Thanks in advance!

How much time have you taken off work?
losingheather replied to danithomas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon told me that it is a 6 week recovery time. I am actually going to try, between my surgeon and my PCP, to get some extra time so that I can get better and get healthy. I have short term disability so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
