  1. On June 21st I made the decision to get the gastric sleeve! I had maybe two bad days but most the time I feel super great especially during the day but at night I feel kinda like crap until I finally sleep. I know it'll be a long journey but I'm happy I did this!
  2. I told my dad and his GF because her daughter had the gastric sleeve so I just wanted advice from them. I told a few of my friends and my mom is still in the dark about it. She wouldn't agree on it since it was something that my friend and I just done on a spare of the moment kinda of thing. I don't know if I really want to tell her or not. She has a hard time understanding the things I do and freaks out about most of them or just dint agree and always tries to make me do things the way she would like. Maybe I'll tell her one of there days but right now is not the time.
  3. Im doing better now that I'm in week two. I get a few gas bubbles because I forget I can't gulp water or whatever I'm drinking at the time. I haven't had nausea at all during this whole new life change which is surprising. Hopefully yours will stop soon it gets easier, I think when day 7 came everything seemed to be a lot better! I figured I needed more protein because my body was so week, my friend and I both got some protein shakes so we did that one day and felt soooo much better. And getting to have a few bites of yogurt was a nice change! Things are finally starting to get better!
  4. Im sure this has been posted before but when can you start working out agin? Im 2 weeks post op. Im sure now isn't a great time to head back to working out. I can do cardio by walking but I'm just ready to start using wights and running again. TIA
  5. A lady came and picked up my friend and myself from her house in SD, we got there there day before surgery. Wedensday we had surgery and stayed in the hospital that night moved to a hotel on Thursday morning and stayed until Saturday morning.
  6. Hey guys, newbie here! Anyways I just had my surgery on the 21st of June with my best friend. It was a last min thing (probably not the best idea) but surgery went great even with little to no clear liquid diet before surgery. We both had our days were one of us feels like crap and the other is in a good mood being a great support person. But it's just really depressing because we can't eat the foods we love and we both know its all in our heads. Im here basically right now trying to find amazing recipes we could cook up when we get to have puree foods. Im really just wanting to eat mashed potatoes right now because broth and jello is honestly getting old. We should be good to start puree kind of foods on the 28th. So if anyone has recipes or could link me that would be amazing! Thank you guys!

    New to all this!

We did get a little sheet before we left from our stay there. It just gives us like the basic of basic stuff. Like week one clear liquids, week two we can add protein shakes and continue the clear liquids, week 3 we can add creamy soups and so forth. A good friend of mine got hers done back last year and was 5 days out eating mashed potatoes with no issues, she had the same doctor as my friend and myself. So I was thinking of giving soft foods a try but eating them really slow of course.
