More Exhuasted At 3 Weeks Post-Op
Yettid replied to KatFight's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Fibro here too. I was sleeved on 2/6/18, about three weeks ago. I saw the doctor today and he recommended I eat more if I can. I don’t think I was getting more than 600 cal a day. And even more importantly drink more. I also have chronic fatigue so it is difficult to judge the reason for the fatigue right now. But I’m going to guess that healing the body takes energy. Much fewer calories equals lack of energy. And I’m not getting nearly 64 ounces of fluid the day. Not to mention regular life and some anxiety about going back to work etc. hang in there I feel your pain. -
Not one bit. I felt like I did a ton of crunches. I had one moment of nausea and pain when I first woke from anesthesia. Then nothing but muscle soreness . It’s crazy you can’t feel they cut anything !

I got my sleeve on Tuesday. Went home from hospital on Wednesday. And today is my first full day home. I remember how scared I was before and that seeing positive posts always help so here goes mine. I had an awesome experience. Very little nausea when I first woke up. That was the only nausea I had. No vomiting whatsoever. And very very little pain. I was pretty shocked that it didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I think the biggest challenge now is being able to get in 30 ounces of liquid in 30 ounces of clear liquid because you get full so fast. But nothing more than slight discomfort lots of burps and goggles. But I feel amazing. I hope this helps all of you calm your nerves.

Not one issue. I’m less than 3 weeks out. No pain. Never vomited. I can drink normally now. I’ve eaten chicken, pork, ground beef, steak, and green beans. No problems at all. I’m hungry now every 3-4 hours. Eat almost a whole egg, or yogurt , tiny 2 Oz serving of protein and 6 green beans and I’m good for 3+ hours. I’m down 20lbs:)

Touché . By state*

Very true. For those who don’t know, there is no smoke when vaping. Therefore, if your medicine is federally regulated, it is organic and free of toxins.

Most research is inconclusive. Although it is proven to reduce stomach acid. In my opinion, much safer than NSAIDS. https://www.cannabis-med.org/index.php?tpl=faq&red=faqlist&id=87&lng=en

People need to do some research. I use PRESCRIBED medical cannabis via vape or tincture. I have chronic pain and brutal insomnia. I use a high cbd low thc strain. With little to no “high”. It has replaced several dangerous medications and given me my life back. I used Cannabis since the day I came home and never took ONE pain med. And btw, pain meds make one very high and are horribly addictive.

I’m getting the sleeve. I’ve ibs-d until about 10 years ago. Since then I have very few flares and have been doing great. But I do worry about pooping and diarrhea and all that gross stuff after surgery. I’m afraid to have to live looking for toilet everywhere I go. How is everyone else doing?

My doctor said it’s safe to use it everyday. It acts like a sponge pulling water into the bowel. No stimulant laxatives .

Sleeved just a week 2/6! With 1 week pre op diet 15lbs. sw 220 cw 204.5

I was sleeved on 3/6. I feel great as far as pain. I was lucky that I never really had much. I realize it’s only been a week, but I feel somewhat weak and tired. I’ve hardly left the house in a week. I just don’t feel like doing much. I assume this is normal. Especially with the lack of calories. I just hate feeling like this.I need my mojo back. Can anyone relate?

Did you say BUTTERSCOTCH!? Where would one find that flavor? I’ve had caramel. -
One week today. Virtually no pain at all. Very little pain from the beginning. I’m hungry the last few days. Still on liquids. I feel very weak though . Probably Lack of calories ? I haven’t done much this week. My post op is 2/26! Dr is on holiday. I have a group dietician appt Friday. I pray I’ll be able to advance my diet after that and not have to wait for Dr!

cool sculpting my flying squirrel arms
Yettid replied to beachingit's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I’m afraid cool sculpting will only dissolve a small amount of fat. It won’t tighten skin. Unfortunately, the only was to get rid of it is a Bracioplasty (surgical arm lift).:( -

Go girl. I could have written this myself. I did 8 months of weekly therapy before my sleeve 2/6/18. That was also my biggest fear and still is. But I’m working through it. For me the biggest fear is Failure again and everyone sees it. It’s humiliating and embarrassing and I don’t want to feel that way again. Esp around those who know I had surgery. I’m also good at losing, maintaining...not so much. I’m just sleeved a few days and doing well. Things are Different this time. You’ve had surgery. Changed hormones, restriction and wisdom for prior attempts. I quit smoking 8 years ago. After 20 years and tons of attempts to quit. But I did it. 8 years and not one cigarette. Try to recall something you had to do many times before you were successful. Check out my posts, you could have written yourself. -
The pre op diet, which varies from surgeon to surgeon, is to shrink your liver. Overweight people have overweight (fatty) livers. The liver partially covers the stomach. If you go super low carb for a few weeks your body will feed off the fat and shrink your liver. A smaller liver makes it easier and safer surgery. That’s what I was told why they require a preop diet

You’ll do great! Stay as relaxed as you can and when you get scared, Picture your slimmer self happy and healthy.

Update Got my sleeve surgery today. I’ve been out of surgery approx 5/6 hours. I feel surprising little pain. I’m shocked. Gallbladder surgery and c sect was Must worse than this. I’m sore but not bad at al. Sipping liquids with no trouble . I still feel super hungry in my belly but i have not had any calories in 24 hours and full liquids yesterday . Or maybe this feeling isn’t hunger but from the sleeve .idk
