Anyone ever try it? How is it health wise? I'm just looking for something different

Hey guys! So, I'm going to have my consultation with my surgeon in a few weeks. However from what I have been told, the health insurance is going to want me to enrole in a six-month diet. Is that a normal thing? Also, do you know if something like that is usually supervised with the nutritionist or a dietitian?

Hey guys! My name is Robert, today I just saw Dr. Jawad at ORMC, in Orlando, Florida. At today's appointment, we discussed three possible procedures. I currently weigh 430 pounds, and he decided that the best operation for me, would be a duodenal switch! I'm super nervous about the operation, but I can see nothing but the results, and amazing responses about the operation! I absolutely love this community that I have found, do you guys have been absolutely amazing with your support! Any tips or feedback about the surgery that you can give me I would love to have! Hey guys, so I'm sure this is a thing we all experienced, and that is nervousness about going under! I never have before and am so scared. Did anyone else feel this way? If so, how'd you calm your anxiety over it? Thanks[emoji173]️

Most likely towards the end of the year due to the 6 month diet. I'm really excited

Same here! I'm 5-10, so our BMI is very close. I'm a little behind you, I'm awaiting my first appointment for the first weigh in!

I'm so happy to a found this app, there are so many people here who are in my shoes, today I scheduled my appointment with my doctor to have a consultation and decide which surgery is going to be best for me. I'm very lucky to where my health insurance is covering the procedure, and at 410 pounds I really want to be able to live a full life of health! I've never had anything like this done before and I am extremely nervous. I'm just really happy that there's a form where I can turn to for emotional support.

Do you all know if they normally provide any kind of dietitian? When I called the doctors office they stated that they don't have any strict kind of diet plan, I didn't know if that was something I have to go through health insurance to get or whatever
