Day 5 post op for me and slowly turning the corner. I also stayed an extra night in the hospital as a precaution with my throat from the tube. It was fine by morning. I am confused because I was told I would not have hunger pangs anymore but what I have sure feels like very strong ones.
I have seen how different everyone is. The day after my surgery a fellow that had his the same day was walking 10 laps around the 7th floor of the hospital. Goes to show that we will all get there soon and not look back with regret. We can now look ahead the the desired changes.
In on Wednesday the 21st and discharged Friday the 23rd. Feel best when I keep up and moving and don't settle in and be lazy. Think it may take a while to get the system regulated again. But now it is no longer anticipation but instead the ability to move on!
Surgery was yesterday at 9:30. Was not a bad day. Night was pretty long though. I think I strained getting back in bed. Make sure you keep up with your meds. And now I feel tired again. Will post more later.
I get hungry late in the day but it goes away and I am fine. I think I am more anxious for it to be over than I am nervous. I want the journey to move to the next step. You will be fine. You get to sleep through it and wake up on a whole new road to life!
7 a.m. June 21st is when the fun begins! Day 5 of 10 day liquid diet now. Dr White at CHI Immanuel in Omaha will be the surgeon. Great rep so I hope for the best.
Any other 21st'ers out there?
Day 5 of pre-op diet. No trouble getting the liquids and proteins in. Day 3 was a dreaded constipation day so I will be calling to see what is best to do for that . Down 12 lbs.
First day of pre-op diet. Sleeve surgery will be June 21st with Dr White in Omaha. Seems like after all the months of tests, prep and education, I am still not feeling like it is really coming soon.
Just random thoughts I guess.
