Hi All, I had my sleeve performed by a well known and respectable North Texas Clinic in June 2017. I am loving how I feel etc, and have got to my goal weight. Operation was 16 Months ago. Yesterday I received an invoice for $1782.78 for co-insurance from my anesthesiologist ( the total for 2 Anesthesiologists was $17k) I believe they were out of Network. I wouldn't mind, the surgeon only billed $3K. And why 2 Anesthesiologists when It was routine, no known prior or during issues and I was in and out in 45 minutes. I believe the Anesthesiologists were out of network. But I was not told any of this and it just doesn't seem right that 16 months on I am receiving a first invoice for such a huge amount. The co insurance I owe on 1 Anesthesiologists is $82 the other is $1,700. What advice do you have people? I don't understand insurance etc. and any advice on how to deal with this would really help. Thanks Paul

Hey Texusa. Thanks for asking. I feel Awesome. I had the Op in the Frisco Medical Center at 7.45 am Last Tuesday. The staff there were awesome and looked after me so well. I knew I had to walk and pee and then I could go home. as soon as I woke up in the room, I was like, get me up I am gonna walk an pee (but not together as that was a health hazard). I was out the hospital and walking round Target at 12.30. The Wednesday I was really woozy, and slept most of the day. On the Thursday and Friday I could start feeling better and now I am over a week I feel fine and love the liquids and don't feel hungry at all. I have people eating in front of me at work and at home and even though I love the smell, I don't feel hungry. Its so strange, but exciting. I started my pre op diet 2 weeks out and lost 12lbs. I have lost another 10 lbs since the operation and yesterday gained 0.8lbs and today lost 0.6lbs, however its all going the right way and I should learn not to be a slave to the scales. I have energy back and I feel amazing. Its the best decision I have ever made. I can't wait to see myself in 6 months time. Hope that helps. any other questions, just ask away.

Thirsty for water ALL the time!

Phew, Thank you.... if you were standing here I would hug you for that amazing news. Like everyone I so want this surgery to work that I do not want to jeopardise it at all. I suppose that is why I am nervous. -
Hey, I am one week out Post Op, and the pre Op diet seems such a long time ago. I was on solids for one main meal and liquids for others. My Poo was weird, and irregular. However, wait until after the surgery, the poop was very weird for me, it went from really Dark, with what looked like small bits of seaweed and then to an orangey type mush. Don't worry though its all about your system flushing out the fat etc. Hang in there.

Thirsty for water ALL the time!

HI, OK, so i had my Sleeve Op last Tuesday 6/6 and gradually been increasing my water intake. Last couple of days I Have been taking about 4 mouthfuls every 5 minutes thats about 2 oz (4 X 1/2oz), sometimes I think I may drink in rapid succession about 10oz. I am staying on about 64 oz a day though as there are periods when I don't drink. My stomach does not hurt, but I am worried I am stretching it with the rapid intake of water, is that possible and do you think I have stretched it?
