Different things work for different people. Thats my view. What works for me is, I do not intentionally eat low carb. Infact I do not really track, every now and again I will weigh food to see how I am doing. My plan does not call for me to track. I follow the rules of protein first, after that I eat veg like spinach paired with some dairy like cheese. I do allow myself other things too.. For me when I am in a natural stall as it happens. I am too impatient to wait for it to be over so my tool then will be to intentionally lower my carbs if I thought it went abit higher. By focusing more on protein for a few meals. I could not care less on what is or is not a fad , I do not follow anyone elses plan as it can get tricky if you pick up all the variations there are on here. But to answer your question my team prefers low fat low calorie not low carb high fat. I prefer... To just see how I feel and try and be healthy and do what I can .. then hope for the best.

You are welcome. I understand , Commit each day to succeeding to the next day, its less over whelming that way

A question for those that are 6 months out and more.
dreamingsmall replied to TexasMommy80's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wish I could answer, but I have never really tracked. I was 244 day of surgery, 168lbs now , I am 7 months out and to be honest I dont think I would have any problems maintaining as I maintained at Christmas by grazing lol. Sorry that doesn't help haha. -
Stomach streatched please help me
dreamingsmall replied to Cindy757's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you ate a full sandwich without realizing your eating to fast. Take your time. And try to say cut in half . Put the other half away so your not tempted to eat more. I'm 7 months out I couldn't dare try and eat a whole tuna sandwich . After half I feel I might be dying lol Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk -

I have seen many. Surgeon opens paitient up. Their liver has not shrunk. And they close them back up. There are many pre op diets. But your doctor puts you on the one that suits you the best. I'f you have come this far and cheated in the way you described your hyperthetical question. No judgement from me. But prepare to be disappointed with the outcome. Some manage to have the surgery just fine. Some don't. Speak to your team if you have done as described in case they can put you on a more aggressive plan for the last few days to make sure your liver has shrunk. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk

Considering a lap band - scared after reading this forum!

How about the fact that alot of places refuse to do it anymore.. I would say that is a huge indication. There is the " one thing may not work for one but work for others " but the fact alot of people are reporting their surgeons won't even do them anymore tells you alot don't you think? I wouldn't waste my time on such a surgery. My surgeon won't even do them. But if it's worth the risk for you go for it. I've met not many people who don't regret it. What is your stats? Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk -

I rarely track. My plan isn't a low carb plan. I'm now 75 ish lbs in 7 m down. Which I'm happy about as I was a light weight. And if my weight slows. I'll cocentrate on lowering my carbs. It works for me. I don't like bread now thoughSent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk

Discouraged 10 month post op VSGr
dreamingsmall replied to lb21407's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi . Weight Wise you've done very well. I think we really have to be paitent. As I used to go on just shakes for 7 days just to get the boost of weight loss. It's not nessesary. But basics like others have suggested of lean protein bites of veg will really work. It just will take time the closer you get to goal. You doing great. My hw -250 surgery day 244 July 4th now 168lbs. It's slower now but I'm trying to be patient. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk -

And yes we all can diet on our own. But the restriction makes the process easier. And we are most likely to keep it off. Sent from my Vivo 5R using Tapatalk
