221 to 224lbs in a week. I was quite prepared for stalls, that would not have bothered me , but 3lbs gain? I am quite offended by my Body right now. Depressing. ( 4th of July 2017 was my surgery date)

I look at obese documentaries of people eating too much food
dreamingsmall posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know this sounds strange. But I watch documentaries online of 600lb people eating greasy food. ( not fat shaming at all, i am still fat just to be clear) But watching it helps me remember why I did this and what could have happened if i carried on how i was , and to stick to the plan , im 4 weeks post op. I find myself watching these all night , I never used to do this. Does anyone else do this? -

dreamingsmall replied to Pam_2-06-2017's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sorry if my responce sounded insensitive. Your feelings are valid! 20 years is a long time you both invested for you to not be able to communicate how you feel. We all kno you were hot big or small Sent from my Swift 2 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Leaving dieting behind
dreamingsmall replied to bellabloom's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi I only had surgery 4th july 17 so very new. but i obvcourse will be following my surgeons plan but i am in the uk so they do not really ask us to weigh food more to eat a balanced diet, like we are not told to reduce carbs, my nutrionist, doesnt want me to do low carb, but i feel its a good idea for example. so i plan to follow my dieticians/nut/biatric teams advice. but i already ignore some foods they say im allowed to have like ice cream she said one scoop is not going to stop me losing weight, but i. focus on the fact this board is full of americans and while uk is more relaxed about diet post surgery , how strict americans are makes me doubt my plan alot. -

Surgery stories???
dreamingsmall replied to graziellabs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If I were you I would stop reading horror stories, that is not the research you need to do . . I went to hosp 7.30am, i was seen by the anestesiologist, given anti sickness meds and another anti clotting injection i waited my turn till 3pm went down they werechatting to me next min i was asleep i woke up a sking when its going to go ahead it was done. i was dry heaving or two days pain was bad but two days later i was fine totaly worth it why worry about pain , the pain of obesity was much more problamatic for me . 4th july was my surgery i was a nervous reck i cried and cried thinking i was going to die in surgery lol i went to the hosp alone and did it all alone as my mum was home with my kids. it really isnt so bad my advice is to breath and follow pre op diet if you have one you will be fine -
How much have you low bmi'ers lost? Concerned I'm not losing enough.
dreamingsmall replied to Mallory77's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Some people are just like that, it is quite sad when i think about it . sometimes i think in reality people are just showing off and know its a good loss but i give people the benifit of the doubt. -

dreamingsmall replied to Mallory77's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It does not matter how much anyone else has lost, as long as you are following the plan you are fine 13 days after surgery your not even fully heald yet, have you ever lost 14 lbs in 13 days before ? put it into prospective. It is not a competition , just keep doing what your doing making sure your keeping your liquids up . Every human loses at different rates because of many variations. I had my surgery 4th july 20lbs down. It is not as fast as some but i have never lost so fast before. Goodluck, you will be very disapointed if you compare forever -
Yess so normal myhunger pains ere painfulits just your tummy healing and adjusting just keep your fluids up it will adjust. i had mine 4th july its fine now

All I can say is i would not try your first drink out with everyone you could be sick etc, try your first drink at home with someone you trust whenever it is. My surgeon told me to wait three months but i had one drink today at my mums almost 4 weeks out and i feel fine not advising anyone to do the same id never advice anyone on whats right but i am fine with my choice.

dreamingsmall replied to Keekey's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Your 5.0 I don't think normal BMI is 140 as I'm 5.2 normal BMI for me is 136/137lbs. But I bet you look great. I think people look normal weight about 28 BMI. My sw was 244 now 224 about my surgery was 4th July. Would love to know what you eat etc. And how you feel being a normal size do people treat you different.
