Glad you have found something that worked. As you said it does depend on the situation. Excersise will not improve my disability. Sorry your sister died. I use morphine rarely for my pain and it has been very helpful for me when I need it. I have also have procedures in hospital for pain managment, i am sure most people would try many other options before resorting to opiods, and I am sure many people are in phisio and would love exercise to be the answer for their pain, I also think we all learn to deal with a certain level of pain, but if someone is unable to function or get out of bed due to their pain unfortunately being okay with it does not always help.

Follow your plan and eat what your Surgeon recommended you eat. I don't think it is that complicated, I have seen people worry they can fit more in after the healing phase,but just do not test your sleeve as I see alot of people doing. Congrats on 4 weeks. I am 5 weeks out. Keep up what you are doing

No regrets I prefer to just have my own thoughts to process, its hard when too many other opinions and concerns get mixed in.

Hi! how do you change your thing to show when you had surgery? and i had surgery 4th july how is everything going?

wow you have done so well , and for me my goal is BMI of under 249 135lbs at 5 foot 2 for me . I was 244 pre op 235 day of surgery on 4th july. Its amazing you have met your goal , many people change as they see their body adapt. Can I ask what your daily eating is like?

Remind him the risk of staying over weight... You know like death, that might help. There is risk in all things, but the benifit here is amazing. I went into hospital on my own, did the surgery on my own and woke up on my own and was in agony on my own and my own encouragement was enough. So I am sure you will be fine, but thank your husband for his words but now you need some positive energy around you. No regrets. I had many 'signs' i should not do it , it was actually just anxiety. I do not need a group of people to give me their opinion or 'support' I know why I am doing this, that was all I needed.

You dont want to be in pain.. erm.. I dont know anyone who does want to be in pain.. But its temporary. You dont want to miss out on stuff socially? I think you need to take some time and have a think why you are actually doing this. to improve your health etc, is worth the sacrifice of missing a few parties.( In my opinion) You can get back to your usual activity after recovery , eating less etc. I am 5 weeks out. And happy with my choice. I had some other doubts that yes now I think they were stupid. I was in a lot of pain like screaming crying. But not everyone does get it, id do it all again.

You have not lost 1lb in a year+ Or are you gaining and losing the same weight?

Focus on your self . Some people around can say things out of fustration, perhaps if they have wittnessed your saddness but then seen you eating what you should not secretely. Alot of us have done this. So no judgment. For me the first thing that helped me is taking responsibility, unless you have medical problems or underlyning issues eating at a deficit for a certain amount of time will equal some weightloss. So perhaps some quiet time to see whats really slipping through may help you, a therapist before considering another surgery, as if you do not know whats causing the problem now, another surgery may not ressolve the issue. I hear the struggle. I have a long way to go 5 weeks in, and I already feel I will fail. But you can do this, you can turn this around, we are here for you. If you want to list what you are eating/food and drink maybe someone can offer some help

Thank you for explaining I have other forms of of pain managment that involve going into surgery for day case procedures, but post sleeve, I have had one procedure done and was in a few days needing fluids as i was so sick after! Thanks for explaining its good to understand abit more about it!

I have nothing to compare that first couple of days.

First 3 days everytime i moved i dry heaved it was horrible and i screamed in pain as i had nothing to puke. But they give you ani sickness before. I am on it for 18 montths once a day and first 6 months ant acid twice a day. 5 WEEKS in and still feel abit sickly and gross but not to bad, cant say this was a main worry for me , did not even think about it .

Now i have had the sleeve i cant imagine for me to be able to fit in the amount of food i need if i did IF, though i did it before you could fit in what you needed in your eating window but i find no matter how long i go without food i wont be able to fit in anymore in that one sitting so end up not having enough als overall for the day. So would love to see how you get on with if and hat plan of if you were going to try, eg one meal a day i cant see that working for me but like 16/18 is doable probs

Sorry to interupt. Will morphine cause weight gain? I am prescribed the oral liquid to have at home. I already expect weight gain due to epidural steriod injections, but do not know what to expect from morphine. Op sorry for the issues your having.

Kill me now with this embarrasing question. I see my surgeon wednesday and i dont think i can bring myself to ask, i have googled everywhere and nothing. 5 weeks post vsg erm was having some private time on my own as an adult whos single may do. and my stomach at the bottom started hurting, and now the day after it still hurts so bad ive not been able to eat anything much it just hurts lower down. Did i break something?? i feel so sore lower stomach almost in my overies too lol what a nightmare. i emailed my nurse to say my lower tummy hurts but did not give info. soo embarrased dont say this thing iev done might cause a leak can you imagine, ive followed the plan no one ever mentioned about sexual activity as maybe because im singl i dont know but i didnt think i had to wait for that. i felt fine before this.

Hahahah so funny im going to lay off for some time lol as i want to save my vision

Thank you thank you everyone! i AM SO GREATFULL for your responces! Never had this issue before so perhaps things are sensitive in there lol i should have stopped when it first started hurting but .. i had a destinationto reach! lol thanks everyone will mention it on wednesday in a roundabout way!

Thanks for the reply, say if you ate the wrong food and youd get a horrible pain in your lower stomach, and feeling sick. when it happened my lower stomach contracted and just has not stopped hurting, and will see what they say wednesday i cant eat as feel so sick. i feel really exausted and sore .

The ER oh no! " Hi I need emergency help i orgasmed and then smething contracted and i broke something lol. wednesday is not far away but what could have happened? and its 1.29pm and still my lower tummy hurts, and i have felt perfect before now. and your right we are human but im pretty shy about this stuff. did your dr say how long without sexual activity? i wonder why my surgeon mentioned nothing about it . i feel so horrible but no surery was done with my lower stomach so i just am confused. thanks for replying just wondered if anyone else experianced this

I'm in the uk. And our plan isn't keto. Just balanced. I've been told not to follow keto or low carb from my nut. I do love keto alternatives.
