Under 7 days jitters / anxiety pre-op
dreamingsmall replied to Rs226's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Congrats on making this step. had a sleeve 7 weeks ago. I was so bad with my anxiety before i went in i wrote a note to my children incase i died. I am soooo happy with this sleeve honestly, everything about it , everything people complained about when i was researching i love. " oh i cant barely eat, oh i cant barely enjoy my meal" . have had many years of enjoying my meal lol yes i get full so fast but i needed this. or i would get bigger and bigger. I am here if you have any questions when it was done i woke up like " are you going to do this or what? " lol all that build up and it was done .. so fast lol -
It is not real hunger, your tummy has just had surgery so your tummy over reacts as things are healng i felt extreme painful hunger pains. give your body a chance to settle down.

Woman vs. Food, bariatric edition
dreamingsmall replied to Berry78's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was aproved for full normal food diet when my surgeon saw me at 5 weeks. I am 7 weeks post and loving normal food it is fully on my agenda lol but certainly was not at 3 weeks. -
I think the weightloss is due to the increasing water, not drinking enough can cause you to retain water. I do not think it had anything to do with just doing shakes, but congrats.

Cross addiction or addiction transfer??
dreamingsmall replied to Yettid's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have (diagnosed) OCD . I'm 7 weeks out. So far so good. What I can say is having someone around you that you can be honest with. And tell if you feel you are doin things you would not usually. I have had to check myself a few times. Be honest with your surgeon. -
Band to sleeve success stories, please.
dreamingsmall replied to themaestroswife's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi. I've not had a band. But 7 weeks post sleeve. I feel full after 2/3 ounces of meat. Its mind boggling. Even if I think I'm starving hungry nothing can fit after a few bites. You will feel pain if you eat too much. I ate tea spoon to much in puree stage.. The chest pain had me bent over lol -

Life off meds is miserable. I stopped before my surgery. hope your able to get back on them soon
-
Bypass and sleeve? I dont know much but what made you have both? similar weight to you at start. Anyway you perhaps should have gone to your docs to discuss an alternative anti depressent that can be crushed, or smaller. Get a pill crusher for sups if they can be crushed.

Extreme tearing pain in abdomen post op
dreamingsmall replied to Sclark8756's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. I think its abit rude calling someones whatever an idiot lol. My own surgeon told me they do alot of pulling tugging and cutting around the muscles the area that has the largest incision were they pulled the tummy out, so i can see it could be som damage possibly this lady is experiancing. i had alot of pain on one side and he explained why. it does not seem so far fetched, they could have cut something. Unfortunately it is not always the most plausable that is the case. But who knows. She is better going to the emergency room if the surgeon is trying to dismiss her.
