Puréed stage: Baby foods???
dreamingsmall replied to Rose400491's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I didn't say a bowl of rice. But for MY stomach it would. As rice would expand in my stomach take to much space and make me bloated and nauseous. If it works for you fine. -

Baby food for more nutrition? That's a new one .. Baby food doesn't meet an adults nutrients need my plan says. I bought it to try. Tasted like crap though. Baby rice ? I dont even eat rice now 4 months out. This early were is the nutrition in baby rice ? I just pureed real food. Some veggies ( yuck) tuna mayo chicken mayo and so on. Every plan is different but that would Not be a good worth while option for me in the puree stage. -

Gym or no gym, that is the question
dreamingsmall replied to AZBlackhawk's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
While excersise is good for health reason's. I don't go to the gym. I see people in the gym 6 days a week not really getting the results I'm getting perhaps they are building muscle. But for now I'm happy with the rate I'm losing I'm more active in my own way and every now and again do some home dancing lol. When I'm further down and need to mix things up if things stop working then we will see. But for now what I'm doing is working. Some people dont seem to lose unless they gym too so it depends on your body -
Non supportive support system
dreamingsmall replied to sunflower71609's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Im sorry you are experiencing this. I can't say I know how it feels like on the account of not caring about anyone's opinion other than my mum. So I didn't tell anyone. I'm happy I did that. Because I needed to be sure my fears were my own not what I've heard. Me and my mum talked through all this together and loved ones watching us go through this is scary for them too. But also you get the people who don't want you to change you never know someones motives.. I focused on what was best for me and because I know my mums motives was 100% focused on my health and the fact she knows me inside out. After the surgery we both were like shocked she didn't try to talk me out of it. Even though I'm an adult she is one person who if she said dont do this. I wouldn't have. So I'm glad she supported me. If you chose to tell other people which many people are comfortable doing and there is nothing wrong with that.. You have to be prepared that people are under the assumption that you must of told them to get their opinion lol -

I'm overweight, wohoo!
dreamingsmall replied to apu's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You've done great ! I'm not interested when anyone tells me to stop losing weight other than my mum as I trust her opinion. When I used to diet people use to tell me to stop losing weight when I was still morbidly obese. I can't explain why.. Because I still looked morbidly obese. One friend told me to not get as slim as her. I was no were near but just its a big change when people see you lose weight so drastically but aslong as your healthy and happy keep your goal which changes for a lot of us. People real close to you also may not be used to you being smaller if you've been big so long. -
Feeling exhausted and discouraged
dreamingsmall replied to eyhornmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm so sorry you finding things hard. And you should be proud of your self for being able to be honest. I'm concerned that you mention your husband getting angry and then something happened. I won't make assumptions but I hope your in a safe situation. Your not alone on this journey we are here with you. -

Used to love plain water ..can't drink plane now. Used to love yoghurt. Have only had it once since surgery. Used to love piZZA. Now I'm allowed it. I don't want it. I used to love sweet things. Now no cravings. I've had a brain transplant it feels. I only eat meat veg cheese eggs. I used to love fruit. While its on my plan it's not appealing to me. I used to love rice pasta bread.. Now? No thanks. -
You've done tremendously. I only eat meat veg and cheese eggs. Protein shake for breakfast keeps me satsatisfied and I get no cravings now. This is just what I feel like eating. Stalls are normal but not had one in awhile.

Surgery in a few days and feeling very anxious
dreamingsmall replied to CarpeDiem129's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've heard it doesn't matter what size your bougie is. In rates of success. What matters is sticking to the plan.I don't know about hernia repair but recovery is most likely the same for wherever boogie size ..Not an expert though. But as you are just looking for your size I won't answer my experience as mine is 32. Good luck nerves are normal it's not easy the process but for me worth it. -
It does get easier. In assuming your still on purees when your on normal food depending on your plan you could eat piZza topping. I'm.allowed pizza but went to a Halloween party they offered me some I just didn't want it.. No one cares if you eat honestly.

Got a date... Chickened out!

The band is very high risk for complications. I'd never consider the band. My surgeon doesn't barely do them now due to the poor success rate. -

Wow! Were I live your bmi has to be way higher to qualify . I think my bmi was about the same in the 40s but I went private as I didn't want the long wait. Its whether you want to go back on the list again. And I know what you meant about now considering what could be a risk etc your doing the right think really thinking deeply. Its easier for me as I'm already on the other side. The weight is just falling off and my confidence is going up every day. I have days were I'm like I just want to eat a whole meal.. Then I get on the scale and I'm like sh** were did these lbs go ? Lol Its sureal. There is no going back and I was miserable first month. Every time someone sees me they are like damn what happened ?! How?! You look amazing. I can tell you right now there is no effort. 4 months post. I eat what's on my plan and I don't even weigh as often anymore as I finally believe in the process lol if you have any questions as were the same age and around same bmi I think I was 17 stone+ on day of surgery now 13+ approx so can't complain.. Not trying to convince you ! As if its not right for you it isn't. Just my experience. -
If you go on the actual site on your phone you can see everything that's how I access it.. Not through the app. Hope that helps.

Got a date... Chickened out!
dreamingsmall replied to JeezLouise91's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can say. People have heart attacks at barely overweight and its unexpected.. So not being there yet.. I don't know if anyone knows when they are there yet.. The risk is higher.. But other things along side obesity contribute. I respect my self and my body .. That's what made me do this. -

Aww. It wasn't repeated. Silly phone. I'm 26.. 4 months post. No regrets. If the time is not right for you or you gave a fear of commitment counselling will help you uncover the underlining reasons and feelings. I'm uk too. And for you to have got it on the NHS the amount of hoops people have to go through they must have considered you significant risk. I have friends still waiting for 4 years + on the NHS. what is your bmi? Good luck I knew the time was right for me but was scared I was going to die in surgery till I was put under. I took the risk. I'm greatful I did -

BEST PRODUCTS/ RECIPES LIST
dreamingsmall replied to Sherry Rice's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Its hard getting a list together because when you have had the surgery some things on the list you may not tolerate, also bariatric items not all people have a low carb plan and we all have different plans I am very simple and dont really have bariatric items, i just eat simple things of meats/egg/spinnach/tomatoes/string cheese etc so my list is not so fun. -
I love my sleeve because it has cured my high blood pressure. Your turn? I like hearing positive things about others, some of you may know I am in the hospital at the moment, have been since last Sunday, not sleeve related so my sleeve excitement has been put in the back ground but still so happy with my sleeve, though it makes it hard when your sick as I can not drink or eat enough when feeling unwell, but I would not change it for the world so just need to remind myself of all the good things that people love their sleeve for. I also loved reading stuff like this pre sleeve to see what I may have to look forward to.

Do I need surgery still? A reality check
dreamingsmall replied to wjgo's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
You can be any form of aggresive you like. It makes no difference to me,I do not take back anything I said, this post is not about you, I would run into the surgery room like I did at 244lbs so keep your feelings out of it.I made it clear it was because my health would not make that weight, nothng hurtful about anyone. I spoke the truth. Go ahead and be aggressive aggressive and make the post about you. I stick by what I say, you already said you have a superiority complex so I can understand why you make the post about you. I said what I said with kindness truth and honesty about what I WOULD DO. End of, I did not comment on YOUR post , this is not your post lol. I can make it clear that I have no intention to 'reach you privately' on the account of this post is not about you if you do not like what someone has said scroll past. You missed the part were I said I have seen people 300+ healthy and so on and if they can do it on their own they should. You just wanted to find something to bring the post to you , weldone. I will not respond to you seen as the post was not about you. But I wanted to make it clear that we are not all like you feeling superior because we are under a cetain weight. Because you are that way its understandable thats were you think others are coming from. Lets keep the post about the original poster now. Bye. -
Do I need surgery still? A reality check
dreamingsmall replied to wjgo's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I do not feel superior for being one weight over the other they are all obese and carry health risks. For me the scale would not determine my readyness as such but some amount of weight id not question it over some other weight id give more time. I don't think you were like me, I was being honest based on myself. I am not superior because I said if I was 394lbs I would run into the surgery room because I already have done or that id be dead that weight because I would. That is truth for the state my health was already in, so there is no need for your comment to tell me that your like me, you don't know me. This post asks for opinions so I gave it I have never once thought " I am fat atleast I am not x amount" Because health risk from obesity is there obese or morbidly just the risk gets higher the bigger someone gets. because I could of got there if I did not stop being scared and made that jump so I have no reason to feel superior about being fat or less fat, its all fat. mis interprete what I said all you like. If you felt superior for being fat but a different level of fat , lovely confession and good for you, I am glad you got a reality check, but that has never been me. Lastly who said anything about the OP worth? Everyone no matter how big is worth the world.. But also worth staying IN THE world with a good quality of life. , my points are valid for most of us we can stick to pre op diet but not long term pre surgery, if they do not want the surgery dont have it. No one is forcing them, they asked a question everyone answered, they can take from it what they want. I have said my piece so you can stop being passive aggressive. I was trying to help by saying what I WOULD DO, not once told the op what they should do.
