You look amazing. May I ask what your bmi will be at your goal weight ? I was told to go lower than my goal to account for bounce back weight. No idea if that's what everyone experiences. My goal is 135lbs (24 bmi) I think if I get there I'll go to 115 to allow for regain. I'm 188 now. Weldone

I'm shocked. Someone's spitting blood up and still wondering if they should go to the hospital. Oh no. Stay at home... Even though splitting up blood is obviously not normal. .. And now your asking if you should still go when people have already told you too. I don't get it.

Year Out Tomorrow - Feeling Lost
dreamingsmall replied to Beausie Bunny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so sorry your suffering. You don't have to punish your self going onto soft foods.. You can get back on track but take it slowly and don't be so hard on your self. We are our own worst enemy. Your doing so well going to all these groups and therapies and trying to get back on track. Your doing great. -

Surgery didn’t work?
dreamingsmall replied to Lacecute's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol the person banned for lieing about there weight loss and creating loads of different profiles is an inspiration lol? She's not even the person in her profile picture lol. And she had the same weightloss signature on two of her other accounts lol. -
If you ate something you were not meant to eat then yes it is bad and your risking a leak. What would taking a laxative do? This is a life style change not an eating disorder were you make your self sick or take laxatives when you eat something you shouldn't. ( That's exactly what I did when I was bulimic ) Just chalk it up to a mistake and stay on plan . Good luck. Edit I see your pre op. So your not risking. Leak lol. Thanks good. Drink plenty of water. Headache is part of the detox

I wrote a note to my kids incase I died in surgery. I cried before going in surgery. I was upset out of surgery worrying how the surgery would go.. oh. The surgery was over .. wasn't so bad. 4 months later I'd do it again. I was terrified. -
Surgery didn’t work?
dreamingsmall replied to Lacecute's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No judgment. Stalls are very normal even on plan we all experiance them. My response was more for the "it's not working" when some people are not eating the right things etc. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -
It all depends on what you feel you can handle. I have had a sleeve .. at University. Working. Single mom of two. Was worth the stress for me. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app

I would say there can always be a reason to delay surgery. I want to be alive to enjoy these things. Being overweight increases your risk of missing out on those things you mentioned .. if your not here anymore. No one can tell you what to do. Everyone has different priorities. Opinions etc. But myself. I'd have the surgery and just get it over with .. just me.

Just for fun...what was/will be your "last" meal?
dreamingsmall replied to KIP-MI's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good idea. And it will be just as nice. I had mashed potatoes with cheese in it today for the first time it was so nice.. my plan doesn't call for low carb though so I'm lucky but I often eat steak on it's own. As when I have it with something else I can't eat much steak lol ( 4 months post ) so good your getting into the frame of mind if post surgery.:) -

My head feels operated on. I've noticed alot feel this way. Like I'm able to sit at macdonald while my family eat and not want to order anything. When I used to go drive through on my own and order 4 meals to myself lol.many other examples. But I am a different human all together. -

Good on you ! Reading this post. 4 months post op . It makes me laugh. I had the same thoughts of hmm what will my last meal be .. 4 months post I eat everything I want. I don't want most the crap I used to eat. But now I realise there is no point of a last meal. Stay on your road to health . Everything you used to eat will be still there after.. and you will most likely not want it. I wish I thought the same at your stage. Absolutely admirable. -
6 months pre op diet Fail
dreamingsmall replied to starshine123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know what your saying. If you could lose weight you'd not need the surgery. I said the same.. till I decided to grow up and suck it up. And yeah I've always been sh+ at losing weight. It was time for me to take responsibility for my actions and what I put in my mouth. And this surgery was the drive for me to apply Myself. You have to do some work unfortunately it's not easy. Either put the work in or don't. It's upto you. Nothing anyone else can do to make you do the 'right thing' no one will keep you on the right track post surgery. It's not a miracle. I still have to work to eat the right thing and not give in to Temptation. It's just a tool Don't expect it to make you do thing's you don't have a drive to do. Believe in the fact that your in control of this journey. Take responsibility. Own it. And win.. or you will regret missing out this chance. As there are many people willing to apply themselves for this opportunity.. so other people may end up taking your place if they don't feel your ready. Not everyone is ready at first. Only you know. What's your required plan? And what are you actually eating and how many Cal's ? We have all been through it..so we can help. -
Weezing cough 3 days before surgery
dreamingsmall replied to Lady83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Make sure you notify your surgeon of this on the day of your history of the past week. No matter what. It was on here someone said a man did not notify his surgeon of a cold .had surgery. Ended up in ICU in a bad state. You need your body to be in a less vulnerable state. Here. A minor cold will have a surgery canceled. But worth it as risks are not worth it. Plenty of rest and sleep . I used antiseptic hand gell and stayed away from people last week. I couldn't risk it. Now after I always got a cold lol -
Computer and study guidss to do home work lol. I brought my laptop and found webcam videos of me nodding off trying to do a video of.my journey. Good luck staying awake after surgery between the keeping up with fluids. Gas pain trying to walk around. I'd say home work can wait a couple days as the home.work you do won't be worth submitting lol

No special soap used. Just asked to shower night before. All went well. Surgical glue used. No leakage or anything healed so fast.

I'm sorry to say. I would just follow your plan despite what anyone else is doing. Though I was allowed coffee the day after surgery. It made me shake and act strange. So I have one very weak. With a protein shake..so protein coffee.

Nectar. Isn't bad.. but it's hard to get used to the flavour. Some people love it. -
Preparation and advice!
dreamingsmall replied to kieram's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My answer is.. nothing . Don't waste your money you can't predict what protein shake you will like or not. Taste buds change so much. If you do buy things tiny amounts . Alot of us encountered alot of waste. -
