Ahh right. I was wondering why 10 weeks bed rest stopped weight loss assuming you were still eating small amounts ? I'm disabled so use a wheelchair mostly depending. So don't often weight bare and it's not stopped my weightloss but then again my situation has always been the same so perhaps the amount you ate was small before your injury but you still ate the same amount as if you were more active? I'm not very scientific lol just curious Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -

Overate ate at 7 days!
dreamingsmall replied to YummyMummy303's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pre op you wanted to use laxatives after cheating. Post op you want to vomit after eating the wrong food.. And then people complain if you want to be brutally honest. When I saw your pre op post I did wonder how you'd cope post op.. I won't offer any advice of what helped me refocus seen as you didn't appreciate my advice on your other post. But good luck and hope a therapist can help you so you don't end up suffering a leak for the sake of a few bites of pizza. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -
Please help me settle down a little!
dreamingsmall replied to Jenna1896's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it won't be if you cheat again and sometimes they go into do rny and you come out with a sleeve if they were not able to do it if liver is to big. You were not going to pass out after 6 days on a pre op diet unless you have other health conditions associated with eating less. It's a horrible feeling but there is no nutrients in what you opted to eat so I doubt it would stop someone passing out unless your diebetic or something. If I'm honest I have to ask when you feel like your about to pass out what will you eat next time? Have things on hand that are on your plan in that case because we can have reasons why we think it's ok to go off plan and passing out is a good one. Another popular one is " I had to eat these headaches were bad " when headaches and feeling like crap can be part of detox from bad food. I'm not doubting you didn't feel you were going to faint. But even if you ate nothing for 6 days our fat could keep us going lol. You will be fine if you just stay on plan. And don't allow any reason be okay to come of it. Now you know you might faint have that (insert whatever it is you can have ) so you don't end up having something that can jepodise this chance of a life time. So many emotions
dreamingsmall replied to ancirasd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My advice to you is. : It's normal to feel a sense of loss .. Eating is a social task and you want to engage with others and enjoy with them. I want to tell you that as time goes out. You may even choose not to eat with people. I'm 5 months out. And often sit in the canteen with my friends and I don't eat because there just isn't anything I want lol and eating so little I only eat what really tastes good. Honestly as time goes out you will feel your self changing. It's such a gradual process you may not even notice it till your sat at MacDonald's with your family .. you have an option to eat something small. But you just chose not to.. this happened to me. Those sad feelings are not nice but they ease with time.. well they did for me I can't speak for everyone. For now perhaps try to limit food situations if you can. Why did she go to Mexico to do a surgery she just said was illegal were she is.. did she not trust her country made it illegal for a reason. I'm all for traveling for cheaper surgery. But probably not for a surgery that's illegal in my country. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -
What Post-Sleeve Rules Do You Break?
dreamingsmall replied to SassyScienceNerd's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
And you had a whole host of health problems after your sleeve.. so it's interesting to know what you did. Some things are unavoidable health wise but I can imagine you may have had a better chance if you took your vitamins etc so your body was stronger. What Post-Sleeve Rules Do You Break?

I think the idea of junk food is that it's great it doesn't effect your weight. But is it enhancing your health ? It's good that you can and stay small.. But it doesn't mean it's not detrimental to your health. But you know what's best for your body. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -

Hi there congrats. And I'm 183 from 244. It's understandable that your tummy starts to get full fast so constant sips help as you get further out you can take in more some people don't have trouble drinking for me. I'm 5 months out and a switch flicked now I can drink more . Even sucking on ice will help. set timers to remind you to drink. If you don't feel ready that's okay take your time. No rush. Little tries when you feel ready. For me puree was after 2 weeks. Realistically I wouldn't worry about loss skin right now. Loss the weight then worry you have alot to focus on which is getting to goal. To be honest I'm quite young and though I'm not at goal I have alot of lose skin. But I'd prefer lose skin to being fat. So wearing spanx. I just keep it moving lol. Good Luck Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -

It's understandable that you have cravings and miss chewing. Something you have done your whole life. I suggest creating a journal you can write in for times like this. So you can write your goals your wishes and so on regarding losing weight and why you committed to this challenge. I assure you when the time comes when you can eat beef jerky and so on.. it may not when interest you. Take one day at a time. And you will get there. Put the pretzel down and get a pen and paper. And write some weightloss goals and what you would reward yourself with when you achieve it ( not food related rewards) I find this very effective. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app

Wife is treating me terrible after surgery.

It's not that odd that someone has love and sensitivity towards people that has their heart.. It seems obvious that anyone would behave differently. I'm not sure what your point is bringing that up. This post is about someone in an emotionally abusive relationship. Are you insinuating that your shocked he doesn't go round insulting his spouse because he may say some harsh things to people online ? I hope that isn't what you are saying. -
I've actually never insulted anyone. If I had I would not be on here as that's against the rules. So nice try lol. As I said on the other post. Mrs obsessed. Please continue to call me out. It will look abit embarrassing when I don't respond . You clearly love me or something as you keep trying to get my attention lol. All the best kiddo . Did I tell you I am concerned about what you think of me ? You haven't even had surgery yet and you want to be going off like you are. Don't worry when your time will come you will understand the importance on attention to detail . You have missed the point. Your acting like you know every surgeon. You know nothing about were I am. I am in the UK AND no they don't just care if your liver has shrunk they care if your able to stick to their plan this is not about other people who don't need a pre op diet. It depends on the person the surgeon.the hospital. Your weight. Pre existing conditions. So don't try and educate me on what you don't know. I'm not wasting my time on someone who thinks they know it all before they have even started. I HAVE seen UK forums were people have said their surgeon postponed surgery because they didn't stick to plan their liver would have shrank as they didn't have anything substantial but he wanted to see them change their ways before surgery to increase likely hood of success after. In the UK surgery for most people is on the nhs and the waiting list is unbearably long so if someone doesn't stick to it exactly as that hospital dictates they can move on to the next person they feel is more deserving who stick to requirements. I never said it was the end of the world. Neither am I judging the individual. But a Stern word helped me many times. I have no reason to want someone to fail so I will be honest and frank. I'll not comment on any topics you post. But I've lost 60 lbs and I just hit my 5 months and I can say some Stern words along my journey has kept me straight. This is not all sunshine and rainbows. If you don't like it shutup and block me. Because I won't change. I wish the op the best. Calling me out on each post as if it will make a difference to me. Your wasting your time. I'm unsubbing this post. So please feel free to reply. I won't read it. I can see you can argue with a paper bag. You don't seem to need a response. So I won't give you one. Apple all you've done is blame the original poster. If it was a woman who made this post you wouldn't sit there on your high horse blaming her How about the fact that some emotionally abusive people wait till their spouses is in a vulnerable position before they start abusing them. And infact all those things you mentioned like getting a job might not stop the abuse from happening. The reality is your telling me to get real then I work with men who are a victim of domestic abuse . Some physical some emotional and he could get the best job in the world and the abuse may carry on. You sound really uneducated and in some kind of world were no one else is. And your response is quite offensive and insensitive. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -

I'm very real. Your shallow and gross..no I would not be angry at my spouse and start insulting them..if you would..I'd urge your spouse to start running now. Sent from my Vivo 5R using BariatricPal mobile app -
I'm not going to say that. Cheating is cheating. It's best to try not to cheat. I'm sure we have all cheated. But I won't say weldone for cheating. Yes chicken is on other plans it's not on hers. And I know some surgeons will not do surgery if THEIR plan was not stuck to. Whether it's someone else's plan or not. But if its the better thing to say you say it. And leave me to say what I already did lol.I'm 5 months post. What do you know about what I researched lol seen as I'm doing amazing thanks. I think I know there is a food versain seen I was given that option. Lol what's harsh ? The food option isn't her option so.. I said I was Confused about the fact she weighed it out then ate it. Why should she be angry at him? Did he chose to break his back ? No one wants to be on life time disability.. don't put someone's abusive behaviour on him. Like it's his fault. Disappointed fine. Calling him a bum and names to further reduce his self esteem is not acceptable what ever the reason. Or whether or not he is facing life time disability.
