  1. drink La Croix if you want a bubbly treat.
  2. could you point out where i was "aggressive"? i was merely proving you wrong. had you simply admitted you were wrong from the start, this would have been a lot easier.
  3. i'll take that as your final, weak attempt to save face as you exit this conversation. be good.
  4. oh. you must have misunderstood... im not saying your hospital is wrong. i'm saying YOU'RE wrong. about multiple things in that post. for instance, you said and i quote: "Bypass is also guaranteed to cause malnutrition for life. Plus dumping syndrome so you can really never have processed sugar again." those two assertions are categorically untrue. Many RNY patients are able to absorb enough vitamins/minerals from food that they don't need to supplement. they do recommend that all patients take a multivitamin as a precaution, because it can't hurt you and most people would rather do that then do self-tracking with deep-panel blood tests. but you said ALL patients are GUARANTEED malnutrition. that just isn't accurate. secondly, many RNY patients can tolerate sweets and not dump. and i believe the MAJORITY of RNY patients never dump at all. yet you said 'NEVER eat sweets without dumping'. again, extremely off base with reality. now, i don't know if you got those alternative facts from your precious "5th Best Hospital of All Time OMG", or if you misunderstood them, or if you made it up. honestly, i don't care. what i do care about is you misleading people who come here looking for honest, unbiased information. and playing innocent when you are called out for your bizarre yet blatant pro-sleeve, anti-bypass agenda.

    Only lost 16 pounds

whoa.... at your high weight you were barely two bills and you got gastric bypass? hey, that's cool. but that's also why you "only" lost 16lbs. that's 8% of your freakin body weight. that'd be like me losing 28lbs my first month! you're not very big to begin with. if you see people on here talking about 30lbs lost in the first month they are usually male and around 400lbs. comparitively, you are actually outpacing a 400lb guy who lost 30. hell i wrapped up my first month today and i lost 24. and i was/am ecstatic. and i'm way way bigger than you! do you see what i'm saying here? focus on your emotional health. the weight loss will come in time. you need to focus on getting your soul right...

    First Real Food Today!

at first i was confused when you said you were "eating eggs". but the accompanying pictures cleared everything up.
  9. i was just joking around. a lot of times when people smoke weed they start talking about how good food is. at least i do. no offense meant.

Eating More @ 7 months out

breakfast sandwich? processed food. lasagna? heavy carbs and gluten. sloppy joe? bread and added sugars. your issue is not quantity but quality. none of what you just listed is healthy. make better food choices and THEN let your appetite guide you. right now, the foods you are eating are not nutritionally dense, so your body is not satisfied, and therefore driving you to eat more. slippery slope you are on. correct it while it's still early.
  11. i was sweating the surgery/anesthesia for a while. then i did something that made the worry go away completely... go google and read the statistics and safety of general anesthesia today. it is shockingly safe. it's like, safer to be asleep under anesthesia then to be sitting on your couch conscious.
  12. this rubs me the wrong way. are you saying doctors are somehow exempt from the same genetic bad hand, metabolic derangement, or set point issues that the rest of us are? you are indirectly saying "the masses are too stupid to be skinny, but i'm not, so i'm extra disappointed in myself." sorry you just now realized that you're as human as the rest of us.
  13. the only thing Lovenox did was give me a nose bleed that best resembled the elevator scene in The Shining.
  14. more scare stories! awesome! your experience is very peculiar, as the last support group i went to, most long-term RNYers talked about how they are able to eat a full plate of food, and that the danger of the surgery is that you can eat TOO normally after a few years. because of which, a couple were struggling with weight regain. but most were extremely happy and eager to advise us newbies. at least your sleeve-aganda angle is different. most sleevers talk about how they lose just as much weight as RNYers. yet you are saying RNYers get "sickly looking" whereas sleevers like you turn out just perfect! how convenient! please, just stop.

    First Appointment Tomorrow!

ok i stand corrected. none of that will be possible one week after surgery. your abdominal wall is still very painful and you shouldn't be lifting anything at that point. not to mention your energy will likely be down.
  16. yay... more sleevers bashing RNY with no evidence to support any of their claims. how useful. those are not side effects of gastric bypass. they CAN be side effects of ANY bariatric surgery (sleeve included, hate to break it to ya) if one goes back to destructive eating habits. they are also all things that millions of people without bariatric surgery suffer from.
  17. those are not "side effects" of gastric bypass surgery. those are things your parents f'd up. precisely follow the instructions your doctor gives you pre and post op and literally not one of those things will likely ever happen to you. relax, your life is about to get a lot better.

    Post op high blood pressure

you're inside a hospital, surrounded by doctors and nurses, all with training and experience with post-operative bariatric patients... and you're asking people on the internet for help with your wife's high blood pressure?

    First Appointment Tomorrow!

go ahead and do it. it's not like you're diggin ditches or anything...
  20. i crap three pounds. don't worry about it.
  21. i was going to mention this too. sounds like you are making your meat tough and dry. that will not pass thru the pouch easily. so eat moist dark meat chicken, maybe with some soft skin. don't have dry, nasty skinless breasts. dark meat rotisserie chicken should work.

    Alcohol

    no, it doesn't.
  23. I think it's a huge problem that you are eating fast food 10 days after bariatric surgery. you are setting yourself up for massive failure.
