:frown::thumbup::cursing:today sept,25th yale university call some lady told me over the phone about my surgery she tried to push the bypass on me, i almost cried. this person gonna tell me about my insurance blue care family plan, she said you gonna have the bypass because it,s gonnacure your diabetes, i said no i want the lapband, then i told her they switch my insurance, then she said that,s a different story i told her they cover both insurance also which i already knew, she gonna tell me i have to have a certain bmi,which was 59, now its 50, so i call the insurance company they say if it,s medical necesary an have my doctor write a letter, an i,m good to go. she had me so friggin upset, to say i don,t qualify i call the office back an said someone call me saying i don,t qualify for lapband, the nice lady said it,s your choice. that made me feel a whole lot better. an said i will have the surgery sometimes in oct, so that,s sound so good.i just had to vent. can,t believe she tried to push the bypass on me, like i was stupid.my heart really droped for a minute.thanks for listening. sil.:smile::thumbup:

hello everyone,need some advice.if i had known to schedule my own evaluation i would have done it sooner, but my dilema is do i pay $150.00 for it because my appt. is next thursday,of do i wait for nov 14th, an pay nothing. i am tired of waiting.i thought i was having the surgery sometime in sept. i,ve finish everything but my evaluation. i can,t get an appt until nov, i don,t wanna wait that dam long i am gonna opt for the $150.00 an he said one day an i,m finish he will fax them over the same day. the hell if i,m gonna wait for nov, to see a pschologist. that,s 2 months from now done the six months dietian classes an everything. i started in marck of 08, i know i,m ready. just wanted to vent, i just want this so bad i,ve lost 27lbs maybe more. sept 3rd was my last dietian appt. so i,m trying to keep the weight off so far i haven,t gain anything i exercise twice a day for thirty minutes on my stationary bike.wish me luck. goodluck to everyone on your life journey.:thumbup::smile:

i don,t think so my insurance switch, so i,m still in the network you have to find another one, in your network. call the insurance company. they will assign you one. when mine change i call an ask do they still cover the surgery they said yes,everything was ok. good luck.

do you get the lane bryant catalog, or the woman within catalog, that,a where i bought my 4x winter coat. for 59.00. they are free catalogs you could even order them online.

let me tell you if i would have known, i could have had my psych done earlier i would have. my pcp recomended a doctor she fax all my records over. then the office sent me a packet firms i had to fill out.i did 6 months dietian classes, sept3rd was my last class. so the dietian fax my papers over to the doctors office. i,m sitting waiting for them to call, wrong so i gave them a week an decided to call she said she had everything except my psych papers. if i had only known to do it a head of time.but it,s next week so is my stress test my pcp are giving those to me friday morning. so call the office an ask what pre-op tests they require.good luck sorry for the long post.
