oh my god,i went downtown this morning came back their was a voicemail waiting, for me to call the doctor office an guess what i,ve got a date, january 13th. that,s my son birthday he will be twenty years old. can,t believe it since april 08 i started the process, no pre-op, what a wonderful journey good luck everyone (sil)

hi not banded yet, i went to an info session the day before thanksgiving.from 9-11:00 came home an cook thanksgiving dinner.with my daughter, that day at the session i weigh 284.8 pounds another 13 lbs lost, so since april total of 40lbs trying to keep it off but thanksgiving i had a piece of apple pie turkey stuffing collardgreens sweetpotato pie potato salad so i indulge in samples only did,nt get to greedy. put it on an 6" small plate. then got on my bike an work out.for thirty minutes,hope that help me . my goodness it,s thanksgiving it,s ok but only in moderation, hope to get banded in dec.

kplant monday is the1st,tuesday is the 2nd so you won,t get confuse not trying to be smart sil.

hello all hope you all had a wonderful turkey day. i went to a info session on the 26th, with about 8 others, the doctor says he will submit to insurance the same day, insurance should recieve them on monday. we should here in two weeks weather i will be aprove or not.keeping my fingers cross.but with the holidays comming up the nurse says for some it,s january. some in dec. ebonyrose how are you doing, get well soon sil.

:cool:this morning was my app for the info session, thats when the doc get a group of people together. to discuss the surgery an to answer any queastions that you may have, now he says the office will submit them today they will recieve them on monday then it,s takes about 2 weeks to make a decision.they also took a photo an did a weigh in so as of today i weigh 282.8 pounds my goodness in total i have lost 40 pounds. when i started the process back in april it was 324 pounds. i am trying to keep it off the doc says no pre-op diet unless necessary.so maybe around january that,s what his nurse told us because of the holidays, doctor kurt roberts of yale newhaven in ct very nice doctor took time to answer all the questions everyone had the session was 3 hours long.had to be there at 8:00 to fill out other documents so all went well, happy thanksgiving everyboby.gobble, gobble:thumbup::confused:

hi had to do six months dietian classes, sept 3rd was the last class,lost 27lbs, now its nov, i lost more weight trying not to gain, started at 324. so i exercise on my stationary bike twice a day, watching what i eat it,s hard i,m trying to hold on.

don,t wanna brag but told you it will happen for you. next monday is your brand new beginning.quick question did dr.bell require a pre-op diet.since april i have lost 27lbs. trying to maintain now i think i,ve lost more the scale says around 285.maybe it,s my eyes.but never in a million years did i think i could do this i guest knowing i am getting the band makes me more determine.have a great weekend. because monday is your day. keep us posted.sil

nov 6 she said my case was going in for review, so i have to wait maybe a week or two. does that means she submitted it to insurance of that the doctors office will review it, i started the process in april, now it,s nov,ok i will be patient. the waiting is something else. good luck everyone.

hello just to drop a line to say you can find it on any section of your local supermarket aisle, such as shoprite, stop&shop, walgreen, riteade, down in the pharmacy aisle.i buy the eas protien drinks myself. good luck on your journey.

someone posted a while back, mix cottage cheese with sugar free jello an i said ewww, but then i decided to try it an my goodness it,s a treat taste good.

hello i had to do the six months dietian classes, started the process in april. still not banded yet, call your insurance company an see what the requirements are .anyway my pre-op testing. ekg stress test part one&two chest xray pulmonary test cardio thats part of stress test where they take pictures of your heart, to see is their any blockage. blood test. good luck on your journey. an call the doctor office an see what tests they require also.

on oct,15 i did my pulmonary test, it took a week for the results to come back so i bugg the office they didn,t know anything so i decided to call the pulmonary office to tell them where to fax my results, they did, an i call my surgeon office yesterday an ask for a date,she ask me have i seen the doctor yet i say no, so she,s going to send my case into review the same day. so i hope i will get a surgery date i have started the process on april now it,s nov. so hopefully they will call soon.:smile:i have been on this board since march/08 an have read positive things but the waiting is something else.wishing everyone luck on your new journey in life sil:thumbs_up::mad2:

hi ebonyrose i am still waiting on my date. just call the doctors office yesterday to ask about my pulmonary clearance she said did i do it. i took the yest on oct,. the lady said it takes a week for the results, so last friday i decide to call pulmonary an told them where to fax it.so yesterday she said it will go into review, i started the process in april,hopefully i will get a date soon.my surgery will be done at yale newhaven by dr bell also. good luck on your new life journey,sil
