    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hello, all you wonderful ladies and gents of the march bandsters, I too, am knocking at onederland's door. I am 200 exactly and I will go for a small fill on 10/10/08. I would like to be 180 by Christmas. Just to think about that number almost is scary, but with this wonderful tool in me I aknow that number is not impossiable. Without the band I would be 20llbs heavier after all the holiday hoopla!! I am very frustrated with the whole plateau but overall very blessed. Maybe this fill will help!! this is what I feel like on the plateau's! Thanks Kerry3

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

I would be willing to do a short term goal by Christmas. I am sorry that you all are at a plateau like myself, but I am glad I am not alone. Someone told me it was my 6 month plateau. Does anyone think that might be the case? I go in for a fill woth a new Dr. on Friday and am alittle nervous. My other surgeon moved so I am having to get established elsewhere. I hope getting this other fill will jump start that weight loss again. Question, what does everybody use as their workout? I would like to use different things any suggestions. How many of you watch the biggest loser? Thanks for replying:thumbup:

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hey March bandsters, I have been at a plateau for two months now. The scale has not moves anywhere. I exercise, log, are any of you out there having issues like this? I have noticed the one lady I beieve delores started at the same weight as myself and you are booking it. Care to share some of your secrets for someone with the same number for awhile. Thanks Kerry3:cursing:
  4. Hello everyone. I need some advice. I had my 3rd fill on 6/25/08 and I am having issues. I can get yogart down(barley),some soft foods other than that I pb alot!! I don't know whether to panic and have some removed or just wait it out. I am on a liquid diet everyday it seems like. :bored: What should I do? Thanks from KS
  5. Hi everyone, I have heard that my surgeon is leaving and where I live in Rural KS I need to have a new one. Dr. Kirshenbaum is probably the closest to me. Is he young old aggressive in his fills, what about follow up care? Does he consult with you on the phone or e-mail? Is he easy to talk to about every aspect of weight loss. TOM to hunger to cravings overfills. If anyone can help, we don't have much for choice out here:thumbdown: Thanks for your help. Kerry from KS

    Need a Doctor!!

Thank you everyone for your reply he seems like everyone really likes him. Does he take patients that have been banded already? There are two of us that are out hear and we are very new at this and we feel kind of lost:huh2:
  8. Thanks everyone, I am going extremley slow and giving it a shot!!! I have given my band some time to heal and we will see. I have not pb in a couple of days, but I am not pushing it fast either. It is a blessing to have you fellow bandsters. I will let you know the progress I hope.
  9. Thank you, I am very frustrated b/c I am having weight loss with this but I can't live on liquids. My problem is that my surgeon lives and practices 3 hours away. I am in contact with him via phone or e-mail. Doesn't fix my issue right away. Thanks for responding Kerry3
  10. Hi, I am also having acid reflux feeling in my throat even after drinking water. Is this normal? Ithought if you had acid reflux it wasn't good.

    LAP-BAND Learning Curve

The article is very much the truth. I have avoided several of these reccommendations and I am seeing very slow weight loss. I am relying on the band to do all the work. It is very difficult to think different when you have had the same thought process about food all your life. These tips in the article tell me that my Dr. is not just singleing me out and giving me these rules. I am pleased to hear that it is okay to eat what you desire, but in moderation. I found the article very helpful for me. Thanks Kerry in KS.:rolleyes2:
