Hello everyone! I got my surgery date on Monday and I'm very nervous. Not about the procedure just surgery in general. I have a 9 year old and a 20 month old who I am super close to. I have to leave my 20 month old overnight and I'm so sad. My hubby will be with the girls overnight and my sister in law will be with me the nights after the surgery till I go home.

Hello! My surgery is the day before you go in. June 27th is my day and I came looking for support as I am very nervous to say the least. I'm a 37 year old mother/wife and currently the biggest I've ever been at 5'2", 316 lb's. This surgery will help save my life as diabetes runs in my family. My maternal grandmother died at 56 and my uncle just died at 53. I have two children, 9 and 18 months. I need to be around for those two crazy girls and I want to be there for them as they grow up. I am worried about putting my life in the surgeon's hands. But I've done my research and he's one of the best I hear. In fact some comes from neighboring states to have him perform their surgery. I'm not far from you, I'm in NM and it looks like you are in CO. I would love to keep in contact to see how we both did and those that are also on this thread. I'm going to be starting the liquid diet this weekend so I can get used to it before I have to deal with it at work.

Hello! I just joined because I found out yesterday that my surgery is June 27th. I am getting ready to start my pre-surgery diet. I was fine with everything till I got the call yesterday and now I'm pretty terrified. Excited but scared for the healing.
