You're not the only one anxious! I haven't called my insurance company, but I do login to my account several times a day to see if there's anything new. I see an authorization for the hospital, but that's all. Each day I wake up hopeful that I'll get that approval call.

    Crazy People On This Forum

While I don't think the response to Peaches was ideal, and was a personal attack (which I feel is inappropriate), I don't feel this thread is appropriate either. To make a general and reductive diagnosis ("crazy people") is just as bad as the posts made about Peaches. Two wrongs don't make a right. Jmo

    A Dream

So I had a dream last night that my surgeon called to tell me my surgery was approved (cuz I guess he's Es McMahon in my dreams and gives people good news himself), but that insurance denies my husband's surgery. And I was like "yeah, but I was approved? When's surgery?". Lol I didn't even care that my husband was denied! If I wasn't in school for counseling, I would probably interpret that dream in a way that ended with me being a selfish wife. Lol

Yeah, I had to do the 6 month weight loss too for insurance, but only one nutrition class. I just want my insurance approval!! I'm so impatient.

I keep checking my insurance account multiple times a day to see if there's any indication of the outcome. I'm a little anxious I guess you could say.

Krissy, can you expand a bit more on your hubby and why he hasn't seen the success that you have? Thanks!

Anyone a student and having/had surgery?

I'm in grad school as well. I took the semester off for surgery, mainly because I don't know how my energy level will be. I had knee surgery last June, and it was hard to catch up on my homework. Since it could take months for my energy to level out, I too the semester off and start back in May. Hoping my surgery is next month, and not in March, so I have plenty of time to recover.

    Couples WLS?

Yes, someone had to drive them home but that's standard for any surgery (at least, every surgery I've ever had). The wife went back to work after 4 days, and the hubby took two or three weeks off. They didn't really require much help. They have teenage kids, so I'm sure they helped some but not much. I talked to my surgeon about the pain level, and he said it's nothing like what I experienced with my C-sections so I think hubby and I will be fine post op.
