Glad to hear from you.... I am 10 days out. I haven't been hungry th feelings are different . Having a problem figuring out what my body is trying to tell me... saw the doctor last Thursday he told me to start introducing food slowly ... I have been having one or two smoothies a day and today I had some shredded chicken and mashed potatoes... not much just a few pieces but it did settle fine... wish you all the best ... support group tomorrow night ? -

Good luck in the morning- my surgery was 9/13... first couple days were not easy ... better everyday... -
Hi... my surgery is in 2 days. I have been on liquid for 12 days. I think that I may actually be losing my mind. This has been a 6 month process. The day is almost here, and I am starting to panic. What if this isn't the right thing for me. I only stay on diets for 3 months and quit.. I always fail at diet - I push them to see what I can get away with... I don't want to do that this time... but I am afraid I will. Yesterday I stopped in a convenience store to use the ladies room, for the 200th time, and I bought an ice cream sandwich. I ate it in the bathroom. It was the best thing I have ever eaten in my life and I am filled with remorse. After 12 days - why did I do that - "normal" people don't do that ... I am so afraid I am going to go thru this and fail... help me friends..
-
good for you- congratulations.. I am on day 12 my surgery is Wednesday.. the hardest part for me has been "chewing" or the lack thereof .. Pretty hard to chew jello - Ice chips and popsicles seem to satisfy it.. but none of those at the office..

I went to my first orientation meeting with the NSMC Weight loss program 5 years ago. When I was leaving the surgeon asked me if I had any questions ... I said I don't think so - I am terrified right now... He said and I will never forget it... You aren't ready... when you see and hear this and it doesn't terrify you - You are ready... and he was right... this is such a tremendous opportunity for me to restart my life... it is not the easy way out by any means... good luck to you - you will know when and if it is right for you when it happens.. -

started two days ago. Mine is two weeks... 3 carnation instant breakfast (essentials) - 1 yogurt - 2 pieces of fruit -1 cup of broth - Jelllo & sugar free popsicles. NO COFFEE - not even decaf ... My doctor told me on Tuesday that he doesn't want me to be hungry - so if I need to supplement with a scrambled egg or an occasional oatmeal or an extra yogurt that is fine with him. I have been dreading this... but on the second day it really isn't that bad... I am putting protein powder into my shakes and honestly I am not hungry - I like the cucumber idea because chewing and crunching on something is the only thing that is making me mildly crazy... I also heard ice chips... so far so good..
