    Well I did it!

I am a native New Mexican and I've been dying for some green chile. I'm about 3 weeks post-op and I don't think I will be able to tolerate it for a few more months. I'm going to buy some and freeze it for when I'm closer to 6 months post-op.

    Sleeved and Optimistic

I took about a week off. I'm back to work on Monday!
  3. My surgeon actually wanted to give me a video of the entire procedure. I opted out of that one haha
  4. Well, after years of research, I finally did it! As of June 23 I am a member of the Sleeve Family! The first night after surgery was rough, not going to lie. The gas is the worst part. At this point, I'm three days out and I feel fairly close to normal. As far as incision pain goes, it's rare and minimal. All I can say is, WALK. Walk more than you want to and more than you think you should. You're going to want to lay there or sleep the whole time. Walking is one of the only ways to get the gas moving and out of your system. If possible, try to have a good support system to walk with you. My dad went with me and I'm so grateful for a familiar and loving face. My gas pain is still not 100% gone but I feel so much better than the first day. It will get better with time! Just wanted to post my experience for those who are considering the surgery but are on the fence. No regrets here!
  5. I'm also having surgery in Tijuana but mine is on the 23rd of June.
