Can somebody please tell me how long It takes for an approval from Cigna once everything is submitted to them? My surgeons office submitted mine this past Wednesday. I know it hasn't been long at all but I am super anxious and just curious as to how long it norm takes. Thanks in advance

Well I had my 2 week post op appt today, I'm now at hospital getting IV fluids for dehydration! My Dr was not happy with me at all for not calling the office sooner[emoji45]

I have to have mine cold! But I agree with there not being enough hours in the day.

Thank you! I had a feeling bc I have had trouble getting my protein and regular fluid intake in. I was very weak and nauseous and just felt super bad! I feel a lil better today, my dr also gave me a B12 and B1 shot before I left there and went to hospital!

Well they are getting my discharge papers ready now, so looks like I will be going home in the next hour or so! Surgery went well and I have exceeded my liquid requirements. Still have some pain and swelling ( gas) in my stomach but that is to be expected ! I'm ready to get started on my weight loss journey[emoji3]

I am 5 days post op today. I'm still a bit sore/crampy. Having a hard time getting rid of the gas for some reason[emoji24] I have been walking and moving around as tolerated. I am getting my liquids in ( plus some), I need to work harder on getting the protein in.

Well today is my day finally[emoji3]!! I have to be at the hospital by 8am and surgery ( RNY ) will be around 11am. I'm excited and ready! I know the nerves will kicking in soon! Please keep me in your prayers that all goes well!

Lovenox injections are the blood clot preventative, but the only reason I will be on them post op is bc I have had a PE ( pulmonary Embolism) last October from shoulder surgery. I have never heard anything about a gallstone preventative. I hope this helps some[emoji3] My surgery is 6/21/17, next Wednesday (RNY) -

Well this just got real!! I just talked with the insurance company and they said I was approved for Gastric Bypass on June 21st! I am super excited but equally nervous now also! A lil bit scared of the pre op liver shrinking diet also, I know it's gonna be tough but I can do it!!

I was told I would be in there 2-3 days, my surgery is not until June 21st. Prob depends on Dr and where u have it done at -
Pre- op June 14th with surgeon and anesthesiologist, also start pre op diet that morning! Wish me luck and thank you all! I am addicted to this site, it has really been a very influential and learning tool for me!
