    Meal Replacement Protein Powder

My surgeon recommended bariatric advantage as well. But GNC has a vegan protein powder as well. You can by samples to try. They are chalky but might be good with almond milk instead of water.

    Bariatric Advantage Vitamins

I use the chewable vitamins and calcium chews and chewable iron from bariatric advantage. They are all ok. Hated the calcium crystals could not stand them in anything.

Anyone sleeve the week of 6/25?

I move to mushy food on the 13th. If the surgeon moves me on. I can''t wait. School starts the 30th of July and I need practice with mushiness.

    Sleeved today!

That is great! Wow all those laps! You will be gas free in no time!
  5. If you scroll up to the first gray box and click the create tab, you will see tickers and can have fun playing with those. The key word is tickers. I have not updated mine too often yet but it is fun! Glad you are feeling a little better!
  6. I am sorry as well! how did work go?

Back to basics and really doing it!

This is a wonderful thread! You are all so wise and helpful! I like to think I learned something from each attempt like perseverance. Being accountable and keeping track good or bad is one of the things long term successful people do and you are all on that road! I pray wisdom and understanding for all here.
  8. I had the leak test during surgery so no drinking that stuff. I randomly found the advice to bring a tummy pillow in the car for the seat belt, a great suggestion and closing a car door when out a few days later gave me the most scare I had done something bad. I would not have even thought of that! Gas you will deal with!
  9. Wow July 19h and working today! It doesn't seem like your surgeon is being real. I haven't gotten 64 ounces of liquid yet and I am counting my shakes as part of the liquid. Do what you can and don't sweat what you cant and don't lift anything you shouldn't. don't need pulled stitch pain on top of everything!
  10. Deborah I am praying for you. Please keep us updated!

Anyone sleeve the week of 6/25?

I was sleeved the 27th as well. Go from thinking the sleeve is too big to worrying about leaks. But I am so like you all rumbling , sipping, not too much pain or pain medicine since first day home.

    Panniculectomy.....Check!

I am glad to hear so little pain! And your loss is wonderful. I hope to be there in a little while. Just had my surgery 6 days ago!
  13. I wish I had thought of that. Maybe seeing yours will be enough.

    Waiting for surgery

Wow I am glad the surgery went well but 3 hours oh my! Mine arrived an hour late and said something about not looking at his calendar the night before, but so far so good. i have heard that they really good surgeons dont always have bedside manner. Your stats are very encouraging!
  15. Deborah, I had my surgery the exact same day and time as you. My anesthesiologist said I might have a sore throat two tubes were going down our throat oxygen and the tube they use to measure the sleeve. I cant remember it's name. My throat did not hurt at all. Everything else did and I had dry heaves as well. With what you went through is is not surprising your vocal folds are swollen. I said a prayer that all your inflammation goes down quickly! Ellen
