    Going into week 5

I tried everything. What's working for me (It took 10days to work) is miralax and 3 stool softeners everyday. At day 7 of no poo I got smooth move and day 8 was a good day. I was freaking out. Never took that long. Not much weight loss either. 6 weeks 23 lbs. 3 lbs in last 3 weeks.

    Swallowing/back discomfort

I wonder. The first egg was gone fast and it hurt. Since then I've slowed it down. Does bite size need to change a lot? I've tried. It's hard.
  3. Two weeks post today. I have tried a couple of different soft foods. Boiled egg mashed with light mayo & avacado mashed with mayo. Every time I swallow I feel a discomfort in my back like the food is having a hard time going down. Liquids are fine. Anyone else experience this and or know what the cause is? Every sensation I have is in my back instead of my stomach. Also had hernia repair. Kinda freaking out. Thanks.

    One week post surgery

I had the same issue, 10 month. Had VSG on 6/7 was back at work 6/16. Scheduled back 6/14. And then only for 4 hours. It was a lot harder for me than I thought. It took me awhile to bounce back. I still have my job but would definitely wait. If you're worried I would schedule it for a Friday or Monday at you 1 year anniversary, when hopefully you get a week off.

    Period pain

I was told that I could take ibuprofen. I will definitely be taking them when mine hits in two weeks. Id say Just don't over do it. Cut it down to 200-400 mg as needed. Sucks but our periods might get better!

    Post op assistance

Day 1 & 2 in hospital, day 3 & 4 pretty much in bed and by day 5 you'll be fine. I'm on day 4. Don't want to do anything or go anywhere but I could if I had to. Protein shakes, vitamins and lots of water!

    NSV happy!!!

I'd rather lose as slow as possible, so that the skin has a better chance to bounce back.

    vsg staple line leak

Up your protein and liquid intake. Make sure to take your vitamins. Tons of rest. All I can think of. Best of luck. Sorry you've had such a traumatic experience. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Personal Trainer?

Ask for help. Hopefully you don't have to purchase training sessions just to find out how to correctly use the weights and equipment. I'm going back to la fitness in a couple of months and will do just that. I'm all in this time. I'm done being embarrassed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    V8

I have two weeks after surgery on full liquids. I like the way it tastes over flavored waters and popsicles. Add in 25g of protein. Not concerned with sugar or carbs my first two weeks. Just staying hydrated and getting enough protein. Was asking more about high acid/stomach issues. Thanks for the input! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    V8

Has anyone had issues with v8 vegetable juice as part of the liquid diet. Add protein powder? I've seen pretty much everything else listed but not v8. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. My mom had vsg at 67. She's lost 95 lbs and feels better than ever at 70! Can't find her incisions. Doesnt remember any issues with healing. She is my inspiration. I'm having mine Wednesday at 47. I'm taking b,c,d, fish oil and my multi vitamin just to fortify. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

    What do we need!?

My surgery is in 10 days. Yesterday I bought gummy vitamins, calcium & chewable vitamin b & C. Was afraid all gummy or all chewable would be too much. Concerned that regular vitamins wouldn't dissolve. 24 oz water bottles & benefiber. Now I'm thinking I need a mini fridge for my office & maybe a lunch cooler. 3 oz disposable containers. Why do we freak out? Probably won't use half of the stuff we buy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app
