    In need of help

I am not complaining about only losing 29 pounds, just want to be sure that this stall is normal. I was also on antibiotics for a month because of a staff infection in my incision. Thank you so much for your input, I have a very hard time being patient.

    In need of help

I got surgery on May 24th and lost 29 pounds but for the last 3 weeks I haven't lost anything! I eat like a bird, walk at least 5 miles a day and do exercise classes 3 times a week. I am very discouraged as well. It feels like I am doing everything right and not seeing the results.
  3. I am 3 weeks post op from the gastric sleeve and am craving a salad? Does anyone know how long you have to wait until you can have lettuce? Thanks much!
  4. I am 3 weeks post op and started having severe back pains out of nowhere! Anyone else having this issue? My incision where the drainage tube was is severely infected, so am thinking one has something to do with the other possibly???
  5. Hello May 24th'ers, how is everyone doing? I am currently at 215 at the end of week 3, but have also lost 10" too. Even though the numbers are working for me, I have yet to feel a difference in my clothes yet. I am also having back pains like crazy, anyone else having this issue? My incision where the drainage port was is severely infected right now, but other than that, I feel great. The recovery after this surgery seemed way too easy, maybe that is why karma is slapping me with the infection! Hope you are all doing great and would love to hear an update if you get a chance!

    Pain

I only had a few days of pain and by the end of week one, I had no pain at all. Now that I am 3 weeks out, I have started getting severe back pain and the incision where the drainage tube was, is severely infected! Hope your pain is minimal! The more you try to move around the better you will feel. Good luck to you!

    Overweight Failure

Hi there! I had my surgery on May 24th and was jumping on the scale all the time until my friends told me to only weigh in once a week, same day each week and at the same time. This has been extremely hard for me, but I weigh in one day and another day of the week I do measurements. I was 239 pre surgery and am now at 215 plus 10 inches down. I make sure I always get my 10,000 steps in because I haven't been cleared to go back to my exercise classes yet. My surgeon said the biggest thing you can do to help yourself is to keep moving and make sure you get at least 60 grams of protein. Just keep the faith and hopefully things will start moving in the right direction. I wish you the best!
  8. Hope your journey is going well so far!
  9. I am doing well. The belly is still pretty tight and sore but am able to move more. I am 7 days out now and able to eat and drink with no issues. Hope things are going well for you!
  10. Best of luck to all of you! We can do this and we will all be healthier and happier people in the end!
  11. I got my surgery done on the 24th and I still have leakage from the drain tube too, and it looks pretty nasty, but I am told that is normal. I just keep a bandage on it. I also feel very tight after sitting or waking up and then loosen up as I walk around. Good luck to you!
  12. I would be happier then heck to lose 7 pounds in 9 days. I hope I will lose that much when I get to 9 days out!
  13. Would love to converse with others that got surgery on the same day as I did so that we can compare our issues or triumphs and support each other.
  14. Thanks, good to know! I guess I will just have to be patient.
  15. Thanks so much for your input, much appreciated.
