Wow, I am glad to hear that others are having the same issue. I am 6 months post-op and I've been having extreme lower back pain. I have lost 77lbs thus far and I thought with the weight loss I would start to feel better and more mobile. But, I've had more pain then when I was prior to surgery. I've gone to a chiropractor to get readjusted, it worked for a couple of days but after a few days, the pain comes back. Anyone else has any idea what this may be? Any advice?

I hate my scale.... its broken... or I am
Davidl replied to AmandaTherese's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi AmandaTherese, I am in the same boat as you. I too had the surgery on May 31 and I was at 277 and now stuck at 250. The scale does not move up or down. I'm scared I am doing something wrong. I am following the plan my doctor laid out but no change. I'm scared that this was a waste and the surgery didn't work on me. I do see some changes to my body and I am fitting into close that I couldn't before. But, I am like you. I want to see the change on the scale. Keep me updated if it gets better. I hope it does. -
I too was scheduled for the 31st. So far I have lost 30 pounds, which I lost in the first week and a half post surgery. Now I've been in a stall and my weight has not moved up or down. How is everyone doing? Any tips tricks? Besides walking has anyone done any other forms of exercise?

How to deal with food addiction??
Davidl replied to mxpxchik11's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi there! I am in the same boat as you are. I knew I had an addiction, but I didn't know how bad it was until after my surgery. My first week post op, I literally cried because of the regret of having the surgery. I missed eating food, the volume and not really caring. It has been rough. What I do to help me is yoga and meditation. I also remind myself why I had the surgery and my health is number one. How is the counseling coming along? I have been thinking that I should consult a professional regarding my addiction. -
Sleeved today, staff driving me nuts
Davidl replied to Brick Daddy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! That was probably the worst part about the night stay at the hospital. All I wanted to do was go home and sleep in my own bed. It was the longest night of my life. -

Congrats on your new journey. I was in the same boat as you. My first attempt at bariatric surgery I got scared and backed out. I was more scared of what people would say if they knew I had the surgery. Soon after, my weight skyrocketed and I developed high blood pressure and diabetes. That freaked me and I made a decision to not worry what others have to say, but my health is what's important. Good luck on your journey, it will be long and hard, but in the end you will benefit. PS. What helped me the most was the great group of people I have met on this website. Amazing people, with lots of support.

Hi there, I was sleeved on Tuesday and when I got to my hospital room, the nurse brought me ice chips and water. I thought it was really quick to start putting anything in my stomach, but I was told that the doctor wants to know how we tolerate drinking before we go home. I was given a goal in the hospital on how much to drink before I could be discharged. I too like you didn't have an appetite and I tried hard to eat the broth and jello, but drink the water. Sip every 15 mins, you can do it. I know it was hard for me to do, but it can be done. Congrats on your new journal!

Surgery postponed for the right reason
Davidl replied to Seahawks Fan's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great choice to postpone the surgery. I know when I woke up from my procedure and the first night I felt regret. I don't know if it was all the emotions or the fact that I had to stay one night in the hospital. This surgery isn't for everyone, we know our bodies better than anyone else. Keep up the good work with the weight loss.
