  6. It’s definitely internal at the incision site, but from what I read it’s normal. I just want it to go away! It freaks me out that there is a stitch in there, and what it if pops? Oh godddd. It’s all in my head but it’s freaking me out! [emoji23] HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  7. I’m a week out too and also stopped pain meds 4 days ago! Today I feel like a turned a corner for the better, I feel like I think that almost every day lately. Even my main incision pain is better than it was last night. It was so crazy to look at the clock today and think about where I was this time last week. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  8. Are you in pain meds? I felt a lot worse once I got home. But I’m glad you aren’t hurting and I hope that sticks!! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

Am I the only one that thought this thread was about actual DEATH at first? Yiiikes 🤦‍♀️. Glad y’all are talking hair over here! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  16. Well, reading this was torture as I’m still on post op liquids [emoji6]. But it all sounds delicious. To be honest, I enjoyed every single meal I had for the week before I went into surgery (no liquid diet required until the day before for me). I went to my favorite restaurants and ordered my favorite things, but didn’t over eat like I normally would. I was shocked that I’d still lost 2 more pounds on the day of surgery. I don’t know what to tell you, because saying you should eat what you want while you can is not the healthy thing to say, but I did and it worked out ok for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️ HW 289 SW 262 CW ? 19. I think that’s normal. Is it next to your belly button? I think there is a deep stitch there, and I’m wondering if they pulled my stomach through there too, I’m going to ask at my post op! HW 289 SW 262 VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

  21. I just wanted to start a thread, in case anyone has questions about the process, for someone who is actively going though it, while it’s fresh in my mind. It’s like I blinked and it was over. I am in very minimal pain, and not even experiencing many of the issues with gas we all hear so much about. I was so nervous, and emotional, and here I am on the other side! I want to help anyone who could use some insight HW 289 SW 262 VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

    In need of support

I have the same pain, and have since surgery. My binder helps, and when I spoke to the PA today, she said it’s normal. I’m sorry you’re going thru this! I understand your concern and would feel the same way if the pain wasn’t consistent since surgery. HW 289 SW 262 VSG 5/2/18 Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
