I just got my referral yesterday and will have my first orientation tomorrow in Fontana Ca. I didn’t wait for them to call me, I called today and I’m glad I did. They were able to get me in to tomorrow’s class, rather than waiting over a month!

Hi girlfriends, I’m in the pre sleeve phase, going through the Kaiser options course. I’m 31 years old and 280lbs. I want to have the surgery for many reasons, but one is the be a healthy mother. (I have no children now). Tell me everything about pregnancy after surgery. I wish I didn’t have to wait the 18 months post surgery, but that’s what the doctors tell me. Are C-sections more prevalent? Thanks!

Did you go thru a program pre-op? For example, I have kaiser and I’m going through a 12 week class. We are learning a lot about nutrition and what to eat. I can send you some pictures of the meal plans if you need inspiration. Or is it that nothing sounds good?

Surgery 12/27 getting nervous

I think all of those fears are normal. I have them too, mostly that I will gain the weight back someday and I worry about loose skin. Do you know anyone who has had the surgery? I think It helps to talk to someone who has had it if you can. -

I am going through Kaiser’s Options class now, and they told us the liquid diet is not part of the required program. -
