Hey there in GA... Both Daughters in GA and son in the Navy.. I too am with Tricare and was approved. I just had my band the 19th and I am so hopeful for the first time in my life ..This is a blessing we can have this ..Now you are wonderful and no weight can change that. You take care and keep us posted on your outcome . I am 5'3" and was 2230 and was apprived . I am diabetic and have high blood pressures also .. You keep marching and take care .

Allison I will all be thinking of you tomorrow and it will go so fast .. I too was banded on the 19th and this is the first day I really feel good .. Still tired but totally feeling like myself again ..They say the 10th day is the wonder day ..Maybe it takes that long to get all the junk out of our trunk .. So happy everyone is doing well .

Five miles is awesome.. I am so proud of myself for just walking 5 minutes on the treadmill..Although I am up and around most of tthe day..It is wonderful to hear our people are doing so good.

So happy to hear you are doing so well... You are banded and take care .Heal and everything will be great ..Your new beginning. I am on my 9th post op day and feel so much better ..Still tired but that will soon pass. Take care and Congratulations .

Hey there I am 60 and just had my band on the 19th.. I am doing great .Yes you have to go through a lot more pre testing but I am so glad they do it like that. I too was afraid I was too old but they do this operation on 70 year olds too.. Never to old to feel better ... I can't wait to get off my meds.

Hi there I just had my surgery done on the 19th by Dr. B .. We had to pay about 3000.00 out of pocket. I feel it is totally worth it for all that comes with the program. I would talk to th einsurance people there first and see if they can help you ..Explain to them just like you did in this e-mail..It is a great clinic and dr. DeBarros is AWESOME ... Before paying though make sure they can help you ..They do go the extra mile to help in everyway .Wish I could say more but they the clinic will have you take many tests but your insurance will pay for that .. WLIZ is very through .. I think you have a great chance just don't give up ... Kathy

Hi there ..I was banded also on the 19th and am still weak ... Your body is still adjusting and recouping .My Dr said I will feel weak till we get solids. We have gone through a bunch of stuff . I admire you for going out ..I haven't yet but am doing more and more each day ..Even walking slow on the treadmill ..Take care and don't over do ..It will get better .. Are you getting enough sleep ??? Band Buddy

Hi my fellow 19teeners. I am slow too and so tired ..Feeling a bit better each day .. I am sipping now on a protein shake with banana and strawberry 1% milk and powder not to bad. Wish I could make them without the bubbles. ???? I also had 1/2 a cup of potato soup this morning (pureeed) It was to die for .. Think of you all all the time and keep the info coming .. We can do this .

I am now a real Bandeedo .. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but it is over .. Still weak and feeling better each day ... I think of you all everyday and we are going to be so much better .. Love you all

Yes Yes get your gas strips right away..They really help .. I am 6 days post op and still whisling Dixie.. I keep mine right by my bed .. Keep us posted .

Hi there I had my surgery on the 19th and we are about on the same track ..I feel better everyday ..I had terrible back pains and have no idea if that was gas or pulling myself up I hurt something but so much better today but like you not getting a pedicure for awhile.. Keep us posted and Congratualtions.

Hi Teresa !!Congratsualtions on your new B-Day..I am from Chandler ARizona and just had my band put in on the 19th of this month .. Had my surgery at the WLIA .They have been wonderful .. My surgeoun even had had it done.. Keep us posted and it will be here before you know it . Kathy

So Happy you are doing ok ... You must be I didin't even want to go near the computer for a day or two .. My back is what is hurting more than anything and I can't wait till we feel all better ... So happy we did it and it is behind us.. Please keep me posted.

Don't panic but they have told me not to expect any weight loss till my first fill .. Don't worry you are doing great and it will continue to be better. Hang in there ...
