  1. Yes all she did was give me a copy of a sample menu & told me to not eat more than a 1,000 cal per day! But I noticed this cute little small plate that was divided into 3 section. I asked her about it, first she told me she bought it from target & then told me that that plate can hold 1 cup of food which is what my entire meal should be for each sitting! that was a encouraging reminder so she did help a little![emoji4] Sent from my SM-T530NU using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Im 8 months PO and Ive been on a stall for the pass 3 months & im truly sick of it! I drink up to 32-64 oz of water everyday I do intense water excercise 3 days a week I even went to a dietian. Didnt help! So what am I doing wrong? I did this before my surgery & here my body goes again! Im so very frustrated! Sent from my SM-T530NU using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I ve tried premier after my surgry & it made me sick. I tried the Isopure but it foams up too much & it cakes up in hot drinks like coffee! Im now using Garden of Life raw meal replacement, vanilla. It works great with water, almond milk & hot coffee! Im 8 months post op & sometimes I dont feel like eating breakfast so put my protein with a teaspoon of coconut oil in my coffee! Very filling for me! By the way I can now drink premier again! Just starting - Kaiser Fontana

Ok heres why I feel Kaiser is the best @ WLS in my opinion. Both of my adult daughters & 1 of my sisters had WLS all have different insurances but they did not have the before wls education like kaiser offers. so they experienced some complications that couldve been avoided! For example they were tested for the H-plora virus but not informed that they were positive & treated before the surgery so both my daughters had to suffer with that terrible, terrible pain & had to take very strong antibiotics! 1 of my daughters who just 2 mos ago had her surgery not only had to suffer with the H-Plora but had to be hospitalized for 4 days because her surgeon stapled part of her stomach to narrow which made her suffer with reflux! Shes better now & has lost 30lbs since her surgery! My sister is a year post op & is still having trouble reaching her protein & calorie goals due to the fact that she was not educated enough on how to eat after wls like Kaiser teaches! I have read other sad experiences plus the nurse that was taking care of my daughter while in the hospital mentioned how the kaiser patience were treated better compared to others with a different insurance. Meaning that kaiser offered more treatment coverage! So this is some of the reasons that lead me to believe Kaiser has the best WLS program other than for those who pay out of pocket with PPO insurance!
  5. im now 51/2 out & I have. Lost a cinder block! My next. Goal is to loose an elephant penis by this Aug. 2018.

  7. Thank you! I have forgotten that you can soak the beans first. My mom used to soak the dry beans in baking soda for a few hours before cooking them! What about can beans? I thoroughly rinse them but still get the gas. Not as bad though!
  8. Hey Newme do you know how to avoid becoming too gassy after eating beans? i love beans but Hate the painful gassiness!๐Ÿ˜

    Acceptable Low Carb Snack?

Yes, I agree with Fluffy chick! They taste good on the first bite then the taste changes! Has anyone tried or heard of Papa Steve's No Junk Raw protein bars? This company is based in Southern California which is where i live. These bars are made fresh daily, has lots of great reviews but they are pretty expensive! I went to the papa stevies website where I found a variety pack for $34. A package of 10 with 1 flavor cost that much on Amazon!

    Any So Cal Sleevers?

Thank you GotPro! I think your weight loss is pretty good! Losing it slow to me is the best way to go cause then you dont have to worry about your skin flabing so much! Being 62 I learned that i will have some flabby skin but im not ready to except that! Thats why I read up on taking more collegan to help replace whats lost thru aging! I've add more citrus fruits( now that im off all meds) and I might add collegan powder to my protein shakes! I'll check with my Dr first of course!๐Ÿ˜„ Keep up the good work that your doing & I wish you well!
  11. Thank you Newme! I looked up that website & the recipes look pretty yummy & Im excited to try some of them sรฒon! AGAIN thank you for sharing!

    Who Are You?

Well I too do water aerobics 3x a week! I started this class & a healthier diet 2 yrs before i had my surgery! The weight was coming off but way too slow so i opted to have the surgery! Its been 4 mos now & the Aqua fitness has been a great help in firming up my skin( arms, thighs, stomach & calves) it also helps that I have a good understanding instructor who by the way is my age as well,62. She also helps me with strengh training with the weights & resistance machines! Now that Im in what is known as Onederland ( when your out of the 200lb mark. Now 199) my weight is coming of slowly but thats Okay! This helps me to stay ahead of not getting too flabby! However, I have lost 4 dress sizes & 17 inches since my surgery so far! Ill take my measurments again on the 16th. Losing inches to me is more exciting than losing pounds cause that shows more!

    Thoughts needed....

Hello Wv chef Im so sorry to hear about all your troubles & I agree with Crรจekimp13! Alcohol is NEVER the way to cover over any problems! It just leads you to more as you have already experienced! I have a Niece who had a gastric bypass right after she graduated high school. She had been over weight most of her young life so wrhen she was old enough my Sister helped her to get the surgery. By the way shes now 25 or 26. Back then my sister, her Mom, didnt know about the gastric sleeve! Anyway my Niece loss all her weight & felt pretty & sexy for the first time in her life! She started to go partie, bars & started drinking, getting drunk which lead her to getting raped & anรฒther time she became pregnant & well...the fetus is no longer here![emoji17] To make a long story short.. she's still drinking despite all the help & encouragement from family & the TV show called Intervention. She is now living many miles away from her family, has a 4 yr old daughter, living with the babies father who is a drug addict & who beats her! So NO... alcohol is not good! And yes it will make you gain weight! WV let me ask you this...have you ever though about turning your life towards God? That is the Best direction you can go at this point in your life! Why not seek a way to have a personal Bible Study to show you how you can change you life & bring you much, much Joy! I promise you will never regret it or ever be alone no matter where you live!
