  1. Hi! Had VSG in December and at the time my gallbladder bladder was in great shape. Last Tuesday however, I had just eaten almonds and I had the most horrific pain imaginable for about 45 minutes. I was rushed to the ER by coworkers because I was also getting really red in the face, arms, face, and neck. It looked like i was having an allergy attack. Got to the hospital and after about 45 minutes I felt normal again, just tired. The ER doctor still insisted I stay for an ultrasound on my gallbladder. Glad I did that because I now have a gallbladder full of stones. I saw my VSG surgeon the day after and an appointment was made for this coming Friday for removal. My surgeon is also going to do an endoscopy to ensure my stomach hasn't stretched (I relapsed on Easter candy [emoji15]), but also to check the hiatal hernia he repaired back in December. He told me that losing weight can also cause the hernia to be "tightened." Has this happened to anyone else?? Thanks in advance!!!
  2. My diet has been **** to be honest. I'm not a big meat eater and I have to force myself to eat meat for protein. I've recently gotten over my aversion to protein shakes, so I've incorporated those back into my diet, as well as protein bars. But I do eat a lot almonds, fruit, eggs, Greek yogurt. Eating protein first has been very, very difficult for me. I've lost about 37 pounds since December and while I'm happy about it, my surgeon and I agree that i should have lost more by now. However I went in with a lower BMI and I'm at 174 right now. He doesn't think I should go lower than 160-155. I was approved for surgery because of very high triglycerides for years, documented diets that did not work for years, and a family history that has been dying by 50 of a heart attack. So happy with my decision to get the surgery, but I'm to blame for not sticking with the right nutrition.

Oikos Triple Zero vanilla is beyond amazing. I eat it every single day.
  4. Hi everyone, Before my surgery in December 2016, I had a completely normal gallbladder. However, on Tuesday of this week I had the most horrible stomach pain imaginable and was rushed to the ER. I'm not exaggerating when I say that a gunshot or knife wound would hurt just as much. After about 45 minutes the pain subsided, but the ER doctor insisted on an ultrasound. Needless to say, my gallbladder is now full of stones so I'm having it removed next week. I met with my surgeon today about the gallbladder issue, but also admitted that the upper part of my stomach directly underneath my breastbone felt bloated and tender, just like it felt before I even knew I had a hernia. He told me I was very possible for fat loss to be cause for retightening (or something like that) the diaphragm. Has this happened to anyone else? Also for the past two months I've felt like my old self, my appetite is back to where it was pre-op. Thanks so much! Jaye
