  1. I do the same thing! I have so much written down I just wanted to see if anyone had any more I may have missed. Tanning is a good one! I also wanted to know when I could go swimming [emoji16]
  2. Yeah most of my questions I have so far are for my NUT my surgeon has barely been involved in the process it's mostly PAs
  3. Hey everyone! I'm reaching out to see you any of you have tips on the question that you wish you would've asked or did ask during your monthly check up mine is coming up soon so I was looking for some helpful question on hope of what I got
  4. So I had my surgery on 5/25, right after I was freaked out that I had blood clots... then I thought my incision wouldn't stop leaking. Now I have a burning sensation on my skin to the right side of my big incision which is right above my belly button. I also can't bend down or lay on my left side or it'll hurt. I am going to my doctor in 2 days but has anyone experienced this burning tingling feeling on their stomach?
  5. I'm not on soft/purée foods yet, my doctor has a step in between were you can start on yogurt, sugar free pudding, cottage cheese etc.... I have been eating only Greek yogurt the candy kind isn't allowed. It might b ether flavors that are easy to take, but I also space them out by a few hours so it's not like I'm sitting there downing Greek yogurt 🤣 I have heard that the restriction doesn't come till starting the soft foods... the scale finally broke and I lost a lb. I think I just mis chewing things [emoji31] I appreciate the feedback!
  6. So I am buying my 2nd week mark in 3 days but I feel like I am able to take in a lot more that what it seems I should be. I have no problem getting water down (some gas bubbles here and there but nothing painful) and same thing with my protein drinks. Now that I can eat yogurt I and able to eat at least 4 yogurts a day (they are 5.3oz each) I eat 4 which give me 60g of protein and I have been drinking my water. But I haven't any restriction or "full" feeling. Also once I moved to yogurt I haven't lost anything for 4 days now... is any of this normal?

    Dumb move.

Hope you're feeling better!! Any dry kinds of food will feel that way, I totally agree with having something packed in your bag or desk for emergencies. Also if you really have to make sure you chew on it until its applesauce type of consistency so it won't be hard going down. But that's if it's absolutely necessary [emoji5]
  8. Hey guys! Hope all is well! I had my surgery on Thursday (5/25) and everything is going well so far. I still have gas pains and the new thing I'm dealing with is we're they took my drain out is still leaking. But I've been trying hard to get the right amount of water in and other things such as jello, broth and optifast shakes my doctor gave me. Still feel like I did 1000 crunches and have the tightness around my incisions but everyday has a little less pain.
  9. Thank you guys so much!! This has been a huge relief to hear that I'm not so alone in this!!
  10. So I have been home for a little over a day now and I'm trying to move as much as possible to get the gas out. But every time I go to stand up I fee like my entire stomach area were the incisions are super tight and then slowly lose that feeling once I start walking around. Also the area were they pulled out the drain is still leaking. I called the dr and basically told me that is all normal, but I wanted to see if anyone may have experienced something like this.
  11. Yeah I'm so over it, people at work keep bringing in good and chocolates. Which I don't mind but can we put it further away lol. Im glad the process is over I'm so tired of doctors at this point. I'm not excited about the pain that will come the first week after the surgery, I feel like that would make me just hate everyone. But once it's over and those lbs drop I'll start giving people a second chance [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23].
  12. That's awesome! Any advice for a newbie? For after the surgery I know that some people experience pain from gas and other from the stitches. Of course everyone is different. I know I'm going to have a difficult time with the drinking I love to chug my water or my water bottle comes with a straw but I've been trying to drink slower.
  13. Same! I'm not fun to be around at this time lol. Unfortunately I am super bloated (it's that time) and I haven't seen the scale move which is a bummer but soon it will happen!! How was your process up until now? Mine took 6 months but I can't believe it's already over
  14. That's so great!! I got a call from my dr and now they are trying to switch the day on me a week before!! Man does this add to my anxiety about it
  15. Definitely!! When is your big day? [emoji16]
