Hello, I also work for Group Health. Dr. Bock did my surgery and I have to say I'm not sure what you heard about him but he is AWESOME the most concerned Dr. I have ever had. He has the best bedside manner and does not make you feel like a fat unworthy person. Any one would be lucky to have him for their surgeon.

Thanks Lisa I saw Dr. Bock today he added a little fluid i think he said 1/2 cc so now i have a total of 4cc in there. I was kind of discourged but he said everyone loses a little different I lost only 4 lb. in 6 weeks. You are doing awesome congrats bet it feels great huh...

Hello Everyone I have not been on in awhile just wondering how you all are doing. I seem to be losing very sloooooow. I guess thats ok not sure but I have another appt. on 1-8-09 will see what happens.:tt2:

Hello Lisa, sorry I have not been on for a bit. This has been a very tough recovery month. My father-in-law passed away about 4 days after my surgery.Then the death of my brother a couple weeks ago and I also had the flu for 3 days. But things are gonna look up. So far I have lost 21 lbs but that was 9 from before band the rest after band. I saw Dr. Bock on the 23rd of Oct. he put in a small fill 1.4 or 1.5 something like that everything is going ok. Yes I am gonna try for the Nov meeting 6:30 right? How are you doing?

Hello how are you I am in Auburn

I tried the sf popsicles and that was awesome. Dr.Bock decided that I had a flu and thats what had me down for past 3 days, I was scared that I had damaged or slipped my band after throwing up but he says he thinks everything is fine. I was able to eat some flakey fish today w/o that aweful chest pain he also said I may not get a fill that it seems as though I am having restriction w/o one guess time will tell I am down 10 lbs before surgery and 14 since surgery Thanks so much for your suggestion on popsicles

Hi Fleminld sorry I have not been on in awhile I have not been feeling to good, on Tues I had some meat but I think it may have got stuck anyhow I threw up and i have not felt well since. I am having a real hard time swallowing. Talked to Dr.Bock himself he said he thinks that I am just really swollen from being sick so go back to liquids for yesterday and back to cottage cheese and applesauce stuff for today.But everytime I swallow it hurts going down so I am not sure what to do. I hope I didn't mess something up by being sick

Hello Everyone I needed a little color today. I was banded on tuesday the Sept.23 I had to stay overnight in the hospital I came home late wednesday night but I am feeling kinda beat up. I feel really bloated and i am having pain under my collarbone and in ribs and shoulderblade all on left side feels almost like you need to go to bathroom but can't is this normal can anyone let me know. also its really hard to swallow is this also normal. Well I know I wrote alot but thanks everyone I appreciate it.

Hi Fleminld hang in there looks like you are doing great to me. What type of work do you do? Are you on your feet all day or can you sit? I have to stand all day so I am a little concerned about going back to work at first but I have a month off if I want it so we will see. Anyway good luck til your next fill you are doing awesome. Hey fleminld, Getting anxious. What types of food would you suggest I have on hand for after surgery. I have plenty of help here I have 4 daughters and a husband to wait on me and I plan to take advantage of them...:thumbup:lol. Looks like you are doing GREAT way to go.

Hi Everyone, I'm still waiting to be banded(9-23) seems like forever away:frown: Fleminld how's things going with you?Glad to see you seem to be doing ok. Any tips to pass along? I am getting really anxious. Take care I gotta get my grandaughter out of the tub.

Congrats Jewels I also just got the "OK" for surgery mine is scheduled for September 23,2008:thumbup:It seemed to take forever I started the process in Jan.2008. They say thats not to bad but it felt like forever. Good Luck

Hi Everybody, thought I would pop in and say hello and ask for a little advice. Surgery coming up on the 23rd of Sept.'08 and they said NO pepsi well I really love it.... any tips on what else might take my mind off having it like something else lollol thanks you all

I don't have to do a 6 month diet thing, just the 2 months before. something to do with the liver. I am going to the new GH they just built by Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. My Doctor is Dr. Bock I have not yet met him I hope he is a nice guy.

yeah kinda ,I started the whole process in Dec'07. Had to do lots of different test bloodwork,upper GI, chest x-rays,breathing tests,then speak to a physc Dr,then a food Dr. Now I have to go to a 4 hour orientation, Then I go to meet the actual Dr. WOW I guess that was a lot of stuff. Glad you are doing good and thanks for the reply...you have lost a lot alreadyIm routing for you! Cindy
