    NSV and SV!!

It took me two years to lose all of mine, but I had 400ish to lose! I lost 46lbs the first month. I have had a lower body lift, inner thigh lift, medial thigh lift, lateral thigh lift and brachioplasty.
  2. Hi Davina! Ok, let's start with the "diet." DSers need LOTS of healthy fats. I cook everything in real butter, I eat burgers, pizza toppings, etc. It's necessary for me, and all DSers to have high fat, low carb diet. Stay away from foods high in carbs and those filled with sugar. And one of the #1 rules- don't drink your carbs/sugars! I take the following vitamins, but I get lab work regularly and tweak them as needed. I take two multi vitamins, vitamins A, D, E & K1 separately (dry forms, from Amazon), B12, calcium, magnesium oxide, and a couple of other randoms. There's a PHENOMENAL group of DSers on FB if you'd like to add me, and I'll add you to the group. Bowel movements and gas are solved over time. You'll learn your trigger foods and you'll most likely learn to avoid them. It's a lot to do with you common channel (cc) size also. Do you have any idea what the length of yours will be? But as for the smell? It's inevitable. I do a "courtesy flush" often and I use Poo-Pourri- it works!!! My weight stats: HW: 650+ SW: 636 LW: 213 (for about an hour!) CW: 272

    Kentucky DSer (8 years post-op)

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I am approaching 8 years post-op (July) and am looking to maybe meet some people who are as far out as I am, or who are experiencing weight gain with the DS. I've started "back to basics" by eating smaller portions and watching my carbohydrate intake. If anyone has any similar experiences, I would love your input. HW: 650+ SW: 636 LW: 213 CW: 278
  4. I'm not familiar with the SADI, but the traditional DS (what I have, I've lost over 400lbs) has two anastomoses, bypassing more of the intestines. Obviously, this causes more malabsorption. My common channel, where I absorb, is 150cm. With the Loop DS, there is one anastomosis, and less malabsorption. It really depends on what works for you. There are few DS surgeons, but that's because few people are thoroughly educated about, it's benefits, etc.

    DS Youngster

I was 23 when I had my DS, but I weighed around 650 lbs. I am now a few months shy of 8 years post-op. There's an AMAZING DS group on FB if you're interested in me adding you. I've seen about 65lbs of regain, but that still puts me at maintaining over 70% EWL. HW: 650+ SW: 636 LW: 213 CW: 278 Favorite protein: Cellucor Peanut Butter Marshmallow (mixed with Fa!rLife milk). Daily vitamins: Multi x2 D3 (dry) 50,000-100,000 daily, per lab work K1 E A B12 Copper (as need, per labs) Calcium Magnesium Oxide Go-to snacks: Pork Rinds, cheese of any kind, Greek yogurt, and peanut butter.

    Saxenda

I'm in Kentucky too, and I just started taking Saxenda for WL. I am almost 8 years post op and I've gained back 65 of the 437lbs I lost. I would like to lose that 65 + another 15lbs.
