Hi guys I have my consultation on Monday and my dietician on 30 May then surgery for Bypass on 13 June. I have been sent a lot of information to read but I wondered whether you can give me any advice. I have received information about the diet before the surgery but I wondered what people opted for in terms of what plan to follow - meal replacements or followed the meal plans? If you followed meal replacement what shakes did you have and are these what you continued having after? What's best and where to buy them from? Same question for after surgery - what protein shakes did you get and from where? Did you also take any vitamins if so which ones? Will all this be explained in my consultation with my dietician and will they give me any recommendations? What does the initial consultation with the surgery entail ? You you have tests done or do they just talk you through the procedure ? Any further information would be greatly appreciated xxx

I must correct myself - I had a birthday very recently so I am actually 31 now haha completely forgot. I cannot wait to start my journey. I have no doubts at an. I know this is something I have to do. I am so glad you decided to make a profile and commented. I was so disheartened when no one commented haha It's very nice (well not under the circumstances) to have found someone who is going through the same as me and has PCOS. so what have you been doing to lose your weight? No exercise at all? I have yet to have a consultation - that's on Monday and my dietician is on 30th and then surgery 13 June so it's all go go go ( it's because I am going private) so they just want my money haha... So I have not really educated on what I need to drink etc. The dietician sent me some information to read which I will later I still can't believe your weightloss

Thank you so much for your response. What a massive achievement losing that much weight in such little time. Well done you!! I am going for the full gastric bypass. I was supposed to go on the 23 June but as they have extended their week, they asked if I wanted it on the 13 June. Yikes!! I tried everything to lose weight and it just didn't come off. Food is no longer an issue for me. I can take it or leave it. But the surgery will really help me lose the weight. Even if I lost what you did, I would be so happy. I bet you have really transformed. Do you have pictures? As you know with PCOS some tend to have fine hair - I have fine hair but a lot of it. Do you? Have you experienced any hair loss yet? The hair on my head has been the only thing I have liked about me, for a long time. It will devastate me to lose it but it is something I am prepared to do. What changes have you noticed about yourself?

Hi guys, I have decided to pay for a Gastric Bypass. I have PCOS and find it extremely hard to lose weight. I have read so many posts where people have hardly lost anything. I fear I will be someone that doesn't lose anything. Please give me some inspiration haha

I understand and I am 100% not going to sabotage this. I hope I am a success.

I find out whether they can fit me in around June 22. I am paying private in the UK so it depends if they can extend that week to fit me in.
