I'll be thinking about you and praying for a positive outcome!!

Ydiva1, I am so devastated for you! I know making the major changes is difficult and you're doing your best. Can you request a second opinion? I think scheduling is pretty important to success too. You have a pace set. I'm sorry to hear about your tears and I would do the same. Be well!

I went to the pool tonight. I keep thinking, "By this time next year...." It gets me so excited. Memorial Day 2018 is going to be different than 2017. I can't wait! -

Mine is scheduled for June 26! Good luck and good health to you too! I can't believe it's less than one month away. 😊 -

I'm definitely going to have to get the bio oil and Nivea firming lotion! Thank you for sharing! A boob job?! That's the dream for me. I always lose in my boobs, and I'm afraid I'll have pancakes. (Ok, the other dream is to have a successful surgery and Weightloss like you. 150 is the low goal in my mind. 155 would be my set goal.) -

You look awesome! You give me so much motivation! Your stomach looks great. Did you use something on the scars to make them heal better? They aren't very noticable and your skin looks really healthy. I'm so excited when I see great results like you are having. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work! -
I'm pretty upset right now. Somehow this site got "liked" by me and showed up in my SISTER'S Facebook feed as a site that I like. She knows about my decision, but I'm freaking out that now all my FB friends know too. I've unliked the site, but I don't recall clicking on the like in the first place. Did I accidently click it when responding/reading through a message? The banner across the top on my phone makes this a possible reason. Since this is such a personal decision I'm feeling betrayed. I want to cry.

Site showed up in Facebook feed??

No one has mentioned or asked about it so I'm going to move on, but I'm pretty vigilant now about checking to see if it is a liked page again. I didn't know cookies could cause a problem for anything more than my waistline, BTW. 😉 -
Good luck!

I am scheduled for June 26th and am wondering if it is safe to travel the next week. I would be packing shakes and broth and such, but I'm wondering if that is pushing myself too hard after surgery. I've contacted my Dr's office and asked if I could do my one week post-op that Friday, June 30th. With the next week being Fourth of July, I'd like to be away from neighborhood barbeques and the socializing. I'd be within a few hours of home in case I needed to go in. For those of you who have been through it, do you think it's doable? I wouldn't drive. I'd just be the passenger and it would mainly be hanging out watching my son play. I appreciate your advice. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, guys! I had my EGD yesterday and asked my doc. You should have seen the look on his face. He told me that he **strongly** advised against it due to, as you mentioned, blood clots. He said if I were an hour away, it wouldn't be a big deal. I was worried more about the strain and hadn't given any thought to the clotting. It would only be for hours from home, but he prefers his patients not to travel for several weeks. I'll have to put my travel plans on hold.

Maria, do you have any shake recommendations or ones that I should avoid for sugar/flavor problems? Starting tomorrow (Mon), I am going to do two protein shakes and lean protein and veggies for dinner. Usually I'm a good loser, I just haven't been actively trying to, you know? I should have been keeping my weight in check though. One of the main reasons is that I'm on the edge of not being qualified and I didn't want to drop into unqualified territory. I'll lose the extra pounds. This is motivating. I'm trying not to do food funerals like you said, Marinagirl. The food sizes seem to get me though. I like food. There is so much of it. Grrrrr. I've been doing the split entree thing lately and asking for boxes right away so I can gear up for my future stomach. When we go out now I'm also scoping it the apps/sides/soups at places we usually go. I'm working on my mindful eating. Thank you! Any other to tips and words of encouragement are more than welcome! I'm excited and wish that June 26th would get here soon.

I've been meeting with my doctor since January. I'm scheduled to have my surgery on June 26th, and I've gained eight pounds. I haven't been weighing myself and actively trying to lose weight since I decided to have the surgery. My doctor says that I should try to lose those eight pounds before the surgery because it will mean I will lose even more weight after the surgery. I'm just getting frustrated annoyed with myself. Have you experienced this? Am I stressing over nothing?

I'm doing it through insurance. My doctor said it was ok, but he wants me to lose it before hand for better Weightloss. I want to lose it because, well all the reasons. I had a setback with working out due to a back injury, and that he's aware of. He never mentioned that insurance might decline me for gaining. I have my surgical clearance with my GP in several weeks. Now I'm nervous, yet more motivated. Thank you!
