I started my liquid diet May 10. I have 4 protein drinks a day broth once or twice a day and water in between . I lost mental focus the first day and cheated and had a hotdog for dinner but have maintained mental focus since then and have had nothing else. Weighed 244.4 May 11 in surgeons office, just now weighed 255.2. What gives?????

I'm on day #13 of liquid diet. I misread my directions at first so the first couple days were hell. I had 4 protein shakes a day with just water in between. I called my dietician and she said broth, SF jello and pops Ickes were also ok. My book also listed a lot of the negative calorie veggies too, I'm able to do cucumber and tomatoes. I'm down 5lbs in 13 days :/ the water was tricky but like clockwork now. I do 2 33oz smart water bottles throughout the day. See if you can change it up like that. The Popsicles really helped me. It's to reduce the liver. I was not required to lose any weight prior to surgery, but he does have to move the liver so they don't want it inflamed as many obese people have. I emailed my dietician though. Hope to hear tomorrow

I looked for low sodium and there's even a sodium free but it has 10 calories and sugar and carbs . I think I will buy some low sodium tomorrow. I've been increasing my water thinking that would flush it out but just making me feel like a bloated whale.

I weighed in Thursday at 254.4, today at home weighed 255.2.. Sorry this lack of food has me all messed up lol

I'm wondering if it's water retention.. The broth has zero calories and everything except sodium.... So if I have it once or twice a day that's a lot of sodium.. How is that ok?

I'm so sorry ... Fat fingers. Not 245, 254. Gained a pound
