    Hair question

I cut mine to right above my shoulders. It's not falling out as bad, but the best part is that the new cut helped it look thicker and healthier Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Lol, the crazy thing is...I bet you longed to be a "36" when you were a "46"... So that makes it even more annoying since you assumed you'd feel the difference Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Workout Choices.. don't know where to start

Wow, that pool class sounds amazing. One of the drawbacks of living in the country is the lack of resources like that. I've been walking or doing my elliptical/ bike machine. Lol,I'm so cold natured that lately it's more the machine. And staying busy cleaning and organizing house. It's definitely more than I did before, but I'll have to find something more to add Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Cons?

I now have reflux. But hopefully with time, that will improve or go away. I also had to change my pain medicine. Before surgery, I took Norco for my pain. But since surgery I had to swap to msContin xr so that my pain relief would last throughout the day. But still worth it. Just tweaks for my new life Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

It's a struggle. Sometimes, I think I had more confidence being larger. Now, I don't want the attention. And it's hard to comprehend. It's like my head hasn't caught up to the weight loss. I'm down to a size 6 yet I don't feel it. And when everyone compliments me, I just want to say if you only knew... the girdle with the compression tank over it to smooth any skin that the girdle pushed out🤣... And with the skin and fat remaining, it's hard to feel slim. But some days I'll have "wow moments" where I fit clothes or do something I couldn't do before that make me [emoji16].But I try to remember, I did this for my health and pain relief. I'm still broken in many ways🤣. But just being able to stand without hurting or being out of breath in just a few minutes is a blessing itself. And I do feel better than before and some things have improved. And I know more will continue to improve. Surgery may not be a magic fix all... And there's still struggles in different forms... But I don't regret my surgery a bit. Best choice of my life. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hair question

If you're going to color, make sure you do conditioning treatments. Of course, it's better to not color. But sometimes coloring helps it look fuller or boost your self esteem. Just try to help your hair stay in the best shape possible. I don't know your hair length, but a shorter length is lighter so doesn't come out as bad. (According to my stylist... mine isn't as bad now. I don't know if it was the new cut other month or coincidence) biotin and collagen powder help too of course Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    WOW, you look great!!!!

It does get old. Especially since, I don't like the attention. But I've learned to pause and realize it's Good intentions. A llot of times they're just wanting to acknowledge that the hard is paying off. (In my case anyways.. from talking to some) Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Valentine's Day Reset

I know that's got to be hard. So even more congrats on restraint during an emotional evening. I spent last night and today making strawberry- filled cupcakes for my son's class and church plus my normal requests when I bake... So I think that 144 cupcakes helped me not to even want to smell a sweet today🤣🤣 Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I know it's not time yet. 5'3... down to 147 from 234. I think I have more to go, but hubby thinks lot of its skin. And I know I have to maintain for a period of time. But, at what point did you decide to go ahead with plastics? How did you estimate your costs beforehand? Lol, I wish I could just have an estimate now to plan but I know it's too soon. How did you prepare? Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    When did you consider plastics?

Thanks so much. That's very useful information! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    When did you consider plastics?

I can understand that. Some days I still struggle to stand up straight after having three back surgeries already. It's also truly frustrating when you want to be more active but your body won't let you. And my journey isn't nothing compared to yours.i hope you find a way to achieve your goal! When did you consider plastics?

I plan to talk to my surgeon in couple weeks. My husband says what I think is fat is really more skin. Sou, I've got to talk to him about that and what goal should be. I like to plan things out, so just having an idea helps[emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Oh no she didn't... haha...NSV

Thanks to your son and your family for your sacrifices!Yes, he's actually in the army national guard. So, a little different sacrifices. But he's been in 17 years and spent a year in Iraq. So, I'm so proud of him. Especially since my daddy's a Vietnam Vet so I grew up respecting military and our vets. And yes!.. basics is something else. My hubby was away at a Army Recovery school (tow- truck training basically) this time, so it was a piece of cake compared to basics lol. Thanks for your kind words too! I'm not finished with my journey, but I'm really shocked and blessed to be at this point so soon! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. Lol, I've never been a fan of leggings. But my husband bought me a new outfit when he was away at army training. Roflmao,I looked at those little clothes...a size small of all things.. and shook my head.. thinking how do I show him I appreciate his gift knowing that WON'T fit... lol, so I took the plunge. To my surprise they fit. And to my second surprise, leggings aren't bad🤣 Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

6 months out and only 60lbs?

And the scale doesn't tell all... when I haven't lost pounds, I've lost inches surprisingly. And then without warning, I've had times where I just started losing weight. It's an emotional roller coaster if you focus on where you're at now and the pounds so harshly...as long as you're doing what you're supposed to and continuing in the right direction, you'll get there. And this may sound crazy... But after I stopped stressing so much, the weight loss actually got better Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
