  1. I too can eat without a problem 4 weeks out, and it scares me that I will regain my weight. I am striving for 80-120 grams of protein a day and I drink 64 ounces of fluid a day. I was hoping for more of a restriction but I have always healed quickly and I guess this surgery is not any different.

    Sleeved on April 24th! :)

I had my surgery the same day, I have started solids this week and tolerate them very well. I stay under 1000 calories a day and I get in about 110 grams of protein daily. I feel much better but I have only lost about 6lbs since the surgery date. not complaining here. I enjoy watching everyone's conversations.
  3. I use premier protein ( I have them s hipped from Amazon) I cut them in half with water and add egg protein powder. I drink 3 day takes about 1 hour for each. This gives me 120 grams of protein for the day and 40 ounces of water.
  4. If anyone has questions please PM me. I found the whole group to be very professional and the experience was great.
  5. Can someone tell me how to start a blog page? thanks

I have a blog on blogger.com which is through google. It has a very simple set up process and I have been using it for about 6-7 years. Message me if you have any additional questions.

    Avocado

I too had avocado and I would mix with sweet potato or egg and I tolerated them well.
  7. I too had the balloon and it worked well in the beginning I lost weight and felt full. I had to have it removed by 5 months due to an ulcer forming and I also noticed as time wore on I could eat more so the restriction really wasn't there anymore. It was also worrisome to me that I could always feel the balloon and move it when laying down, it just felt unnatural to me. That was last year $8000 out of pocket, failed weight loss and BMI went right back up to 35. This year I went and had the sleeve done, so far no such issue, there is a permanent restriction and I don't have to worry about ulcers forming or trying to eat around the balloon. My BMI is now down to 30. I don't have problems with reflux, sleeping or getting in enough protein. I know how to truly think before I eat as eating a piece of cake as opposed to a protein rich snack will affect my weight loss . For me the sleeve was the better option, if I had known what I knew now...
  8. I was told that it takes about 5 days to a week for you to no longer feel hungry althouth they removed a lof of the gland that makes the hormone ghrelin it is still in your system for a few days after your surgery. It does get better
  9. Gene pro does have a lot of bad publicity and several pending lawsuits. I use paleo egg white powder I just put a 2 tbs on my pureed food or in my yogurat I can add more. In my protein drinks I had 4 tbs 30grams is 25grams of protein., and only 108 calories 1 carb
  10. great to know that., I do tolerate the liquids and puree foods fine although I do drink the liquids all day long I don't just down the bottle all at once :-) I have no desire to eat meat or real food at this time only egg salad and pureed sweetpotato which i mix with protein power. Thank you for your answer
  11. I had my surgery nine days ago and it went great. No pain or discomfort from day one I could tolerate clear liquids and even an ounce of yogurt several times a day. I am getting in 64 ounces of water in a day and 90/120 grams of protein. I use paleo egg protein mixed into my drinks. I average 700-900 calories a day. I have only lost two pounds since the surgery as good as I feel I am actually afraid that I will put weight on as I don't feel any restriction. It worries me has any one else experienced this?
