Hi @ihartme early days for you yet then. My op date isn’t until the 20th March so I can’t help with regards to your cough/dry throat ,,, I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better though and hopefully you will improve daily x

Hey! I’m still in the hospital, not much belly pain but SUPER tired. And of course the nurses come in constantly 🤣🤣 The biggest pain I have is the air/gas they use to blow up your cavity to make it easier to see everything during surgery. Some of that gets trapped and moves up to the chest/ shoulder area. I’ve been doing little tiny burps but honestly, I’m ready for a BIG GNARLY BELCH! 🤣 Too bed I can’t have a couple sips of Diet Coke, that would make me burp for sure! Happy to be on this side of the journey though! Good luck to everyone else! Oh I’m glad you’re doing ok the gas pain I’ve heard is awful hopefully it will ease soon for you. Keep walking to shift it. Rest up and keep us updated on your progress

I’m the same @Neely cake everyday in my office ,,,and I’m on pre op too argh you don’t need them they aren’t a treat ,,, good luck for tomorrow 💪🏻💪🏻

Thanks for the reply. Wow that’s amazing how quick you recovered I’m hoping the same for me. And no one will need know anything I eat at my desk or go fir a walk so no questions will be asked.

Oh no , definately not the best start for you .. im sure yiu wer glad when you eventually started to feel normal agin althiughnim suremthat was in quite a while I had a band removed january 2018 so im hoping not too much scar tissue has developed in this last 14 months ,,, fingers crossed and praying that they will be able to the revision for me

Hi thank you for your reply I'm still struggling to navigate this site well , I have a desk job too so I'm hoping I'll be able to get back early to avoid any questions .. I love my colleagues but I'm not happy to share this part of my life with them. You're lucky to have someone to go through it with , that must be lovely .

Hi @missranger Thank you for your reply .. it's clearly doable then to go back to work that soon ... that's good to know . I have a desk job so not at all strenuous . Im the same as you as in im quite private and my business my own that's amazing that you're doing so well and only 12 days post op . Really pleased its going so well for you . How much weight have you lost and how are you managing with all liquids ?

Hi @libbyleeb thank you for your reply . I can understand that, its not an easy journey to start I guess , I do hope things improved a lot for you quite soon after . I like to thinkmimhave a good threshold for pain but I'm a bit scared to expect it will be an easy few weeks , I really would like to go back to work a few days later if I can though, even if only to avoid being asked why ive been off work... I'm quite private and don't share things about myself if i can help it ...

Hi and thank you so much for your reply . Really kind of you . Im 'office based and hAve quiet lunches at my desk too, I've already started to decline meals out saying I'm on a diet and really taking it seriously as I want to lose weight for the summer etc we all say it every year but they know in being serious this time as I went out saturday and drank fizzy water all night so they know I'm serious about losing weight. I just hope my GP will support me with a sick note saying something other than what Im having done ... fingers crossed for that. I noticed you had a band removed then a sleeve done how are you finding things ? I had a band removed January 2018 and was only off work three days and in used my holidays so no one knew any different , I know the sleev op is different but I'm trying to have positive thoughts and ecover as quickly a possible . so no one will ask questions i guess .
