    What are you saying?

One of the worst naysayers I had is now getting her sleave by the same dr that did mine. It's hard but if it is the right decision for you then do it and don't let anyone else get in the way. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. That's funny, my car that I would like to treat my self to is a little baja bug, they are way fun if you are skinny enough to fit in them. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Weight related problems you didn't know about

Crazy! I just moved up to Snowflake. Sounds like maybe you're a Reed? Small world! It must not gave been too tramatic, you still admit you're related! Thank you for the insight, I know there are a lot of people up here that get WLS done in mexico. That's my plan. How did you have yours done? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Okay, I have decided that I am going to get the sleave done, now it's just a matter of time. I wanted to know if there 2as anything that you didn't realize was weight related that went away. When I was young and dumb I skateboarded alot. I think I broke my tail bone and when I was at my heaviest my tail bone shifts and makes it uncomfortable to sit properly, or lay completely flat. I hope this goes away with the weight loss. Any other examples of nice side effects you weren't planning on from WLS? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. You know, I haven't had the weight loss surgery yet but about 7 years ago I became an officer for the dept of corrections. I kind of created a couple life goals and one of them was to have a 6 pack at some point in my life and be able to do pull ups with ease (I have never done one) I think that guys aren't really focused on the numbers as much as how we feel or look. At least that is my case. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hi all,

Thank you all for the replies. I will be self paying for the surgery and have to save up but I think I am going to go ahead with it. My mil and wife have both had it done as well as about 6 other people that I know. They all recommend it and say they wish they did it sooner. I am the type of person that thinks and learns about ALL the options before I make up my mind. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hi all,

Thanks for responding! I realize that everyone is different and will have different reactions to weight loss. I also see alot of people on here posting about side effects and problems. I kinda just wanted to figure out if these are new to them after the surgery or if they had these problems before and they just didn't go away. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hi all,

I am a lurker here. My wife got the sleave and I am debating on getting it done. For me it's a personal decision and I won't go into the details. My question is I have a little bit of acid reflux from time to time, a little bit of insomnia, depression, and I sleep with a CPAP, and I have fatigue. I hear alot of stuff about post op complications and problems dealing with some of these issues. So I guess my actual question is post op have these things worsened? Is it that you are still dealing with these things and that you thought that they would have gone away, or they seem worse due to your weakened state? I have lost weight before when I was younger and felt great and all of these issues went away, but I did that without surgery. If I got the surgery will the same thing happen? Or am I going to have side effects? I can totally live my life comfortable with these issues as of right now, but if they increased then I don't know if I would want to have the surgery.
